Title: Suitable Figure for Chinese Warlord General
Post by: Orctrader on 06 August 2023, 11:51:50 AM
Of course we have this from the inimitable Coplestone range.

Are there any suitable alternative candidates, matching the Copplestone figures, more or less  ::), that have a more general-in-the-field look?

Similar to this.

Maybe one of the officers or NCOs from the Eureka WW2 range?

Thanks.  I wasn't aware of this range.  The cap won't work for me though.  Too KMT Nationalist Army.  Won't fit well with my Copplestone figures.

The uniform looks a bit German.  Maybe a WW1 or FPW officer would do, or perhaps a white Russian.  Either as is or with a little conversion like a head-swap.  The guy with the binoculars from this set might work nearly as is.  Maybe file off the iron cross around his neck and paint him in Chinese colours.

The uniform looks a bit German.  Maybe a WW1...

Thanks chaps.  I think I have in my pile another Renegade Miniatures officer unpainted.

That might make for an easy conversion.  (And the OOP Renegade match well with Copplestone.)

Are the WW1 Bulgarian officers a better look?

They have this pack - https://pulpfigures.com/products/view/271
Great figure, but I fear a bit more Pulp than might be desired?
