Published 10 years ago today, it was the 4th on the (then) new Osprey 'blue book' range.
Thanks indeed Craig-san and Osprey for a decade of Japanese skirmish gaming fun!

Great shoutout!
I played Ronin for the first time this summer. It’s a great little system. In celebration of a decades worth of good gaming, I’ll buy the bushi and koryu buntais today. I was wanting them anyway.
Here’s my bandits.

For some reason I thought it was a year older than that. I must get another game going soon...

A really good system, it has brought Charlemagne, his sister and I a lot of fun playing it.

I’d love if Osprey would combine Ronin and En Garde into a second edition hardback. You could have the core concepts, relevant to both, cleaned up and presented in the first part of the book, then the second latter part of the book could split up the two setting specific rules and units.

It's a fantastic ruleset for small model skirmishing! The combat pool gives it a bit more turn-to-turn interest than most games of this scale.
I'm currently in the process of expanding my range so I can dive into it some more. I have a feeling this one's gonna be a keeper at my place.

I must dust-off my Eureka Samurai rabbits.

Love this rules! :-*

I'll see the author tomorrow and remind him of the anniversary.

Ronin get's a _great_ shout out in this video on the "Best" Osprey titles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeagCEmcEYA
I'll say it again, I _love_ this system. In a perfect world, Osprey would release a hardback combining Ronin/En Garde and all the online PDFs. Even better, maybe the first half of the book is system rules only, then the second half has sample chapters on tweaks to the system for different settings. The options and specifics from Ronin is one section. The options and specifics from En Garde in another. Maybe a third setting to make the book appealing to new buyers.
I dunno... I have Ronin and En Garde and would buy a hardback as is.

Love that ruels, my "excuse" to start paint japanese figures in 28mm (after an army for DBA).
Than I add Daisho and I just started growing the collection to large skirmish for "Clash of Katanas".
