Cool, I was wondering what any local militia forces were wearing. Looking forward to some 9th infantry regulars in Hardee hats and frocks under a future traitor and incompetent leader.

They did ..until th 9th under Picketts personal appearance rallied and charged the Crowns Marines and militia ,ho suddnley forgot how to roll morale. So a US victory .In the words of Capt. George Pickett commander of Roberts Redoubt..''I SHALL MAKE A BUNKER HILL OF THIS PLACE''. A little side note,he even married a local ''HAiDA''native girl.

Oh well. lol

That Pickett quote really should have rung some alarm bells with his superiors and later employers.  Fine fightin' word and all that but standing on a beach and collecting a broadside from HMS Tribune would have somewhat spoilt his day had she opened fire.

Speaking of which, a bit of inspiration for you, here's a 1/48 model of HMS Tribune at the Greenwich museum. You should ask if you can borrow it, it's perfectly sized for 28mm. :)

Fun project - and my 'ancient' reading on the event leads me to recall your fortification is much too substantial but what the heck the point was to have fun.  Going to have to revisit this little piece of history.  The 'also rans' possibilities are significant.

.Carlos yes that model would be perfect. FIFTEEN AWAYS,yes the redoubt was built up to compensate for the 1-4 odds defending,. Thee Royal Marines rolled a die ten for casualties from local town militia and friendly Haida indans.Even s they stormed over the batteries like nothing despite casualties, followed by Canadians.Fun game, back and forth

Good looking game and  inspirational for me to return and finish off my forces for that other great Anglo-American what-if, the 'Aroostook War'.
