As this is for a fantasy setting I took a few liberties to make an armory that would never be built as a stand alone building like this. I am off work this week so I figured that I would whip up a quick build and as I have loads of medieval weapons the armory ended up fitting the bill. Hope you like.

I really like this, great work!
Are the mini statues on the front Warmaster Skellies?
-
I like how you've used the warmaster minis as decor
-
Awesome, just the sort of place the escaped heroes wander into to re-equip themselves.
-
The use of smaller figures as decor is really clever. The whole set is great. Well done
-
Another nice build. Necessarily monochromatic, so not as interesting to me a some of your more colorful builds. I am sure that it will look great on the table!
-
Great work mate!

Thank you all for the nice words.

I think that they are advertised for Warmaster. They are 10mm 3d printed leftovers from Etsy for this project: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=139879.0 (https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=139879.0)
This was just a quick build that I could do on my week off. I am mulling another small building, but that will most likely take a bit more time due to some of the internal elements that I need.
-
Nicely done!

Halberds 'R Us, catering to the discerning soldier since the previous final battle.
Another great building; I especially like the small skellies on the front and I have to echo; are they Warmaster?
-
Superb! :-*

Fantastic use of minis. Very well done.

Thanks for the nice words all. Thought this thread had died a death.

They are 10mm 3d printed skeletons from Etsy I had left over from another project. Think they were designed for Warmaster since the iconography for the standard bearers looked like it was influenced by GW.

Love the terrain scratchbuilding. What raw materials are you using for the floors and walls?
I have been experimenting with various types of foamcore sheets but my search for some of the European materials used finds that is difficult to get in the US, even with the internet. Manufacturers aren’t very clear on the differences and a lot of foam cores have too thick, too hard to remove, paper sheeting.
-
Athelflaeda, the material is called foamex over here. It is a fairly hard, dense, foam board. It is a very sturdy material used in temporary signs. The local authority that I work for had a bunch (around 200 sheets of 3mm signs) that were no longer valid as we had split from another council so my manager let me have them. From what I can tell, it is denser than balsa foam if that helps.
-
Thanks for the tip.
Foamex is hard to get in the States. Working on it, but google searches usuallly pull up something not quite the same.

I think it is PVC foam in the states. Never used it when I lived there.

Yes, it’s the sheet part that is really tough. I can find the insulation variety usually 1 or 2 inches thick but i think i found a 1/2 size today in a search. the 3-5 mm thicknesses don’t seem to exist. Ya just get paper card coated sheets which don’t texture easily or well. for that i have been experimenting with spacles and plumbers putty. not entirely satisfactory.

That is so cool. I really like your use of the smaller armed skeletons on the exterior. Well done!! It should provide you wirh many remarkable games. Thanks for sharing.

I think you are looking at the wrong type of foam. Found a link on Lowes https://www.lowes.com/pl/Foam-pvc-sheets-Glass-acrylic-Building-supplies/3399098425 (https://www.lowes.com/pl/Foam-pvc-sheets-Glass-acrylic-Building-supplies/3399098425)
Looks like it might be the same stuff but I can't look at the product page. Their system stops me as I have a UK IP address.
It is a solid material without a paper covering. It looks like a sheet of thick plastic but it has a slight spongy feel. You can leave a mark on it with a fingernail but if you stand on it you will not leave a foot print. I know that cos players will sometimes use it to make the armor in their costumes as it can be shaped with heat. Hopefully that helps point you in the right direction.
Found it on the Reaper Forums. It is called sintra pvc board and it is used for sign making over there just like here.

Thanks! I have used some foams for costuming armor in mardi gras costuming (and Worbla thermoplastics) but none of the foams struck me as stiff enough for terrain. I’ll look for the cintra stuff. The sign making suppliers here still use really thick stuff 2” and none of them will sell me 5 mm or even 1/2 inch sheets. looks like i will have the right term now!
