I have just got back from a short city break to Berlin. While there I was able to visit the Berliner Zinnfiguren shop for a spot of shopping.
Over 10 years ago I had bought a few Fechner Zinnfiguren online and painted a few of them before putting them away. Well I now had the opportunity to buy a few more so I could create two small armies.
Berliner Zinnfiguren sell both new and secondhand figures so I picked a few of both. Here's the haul.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj38q1Q5FjCA5-XGvPQSIpbqslmtWfUOebi97UngnyWkXTSbJaXbxAPvmXyHF4R6zUbTlgFfgK49cpXU0tzMrJJjNT21N5Vm1leQZRARRnrmDKKW8BynGy9pLwSZdGw-XmBrvEnc87kCo0hlU6p57z0y1C8w9U7HCGSrkMn4cNXzRqyEzQPdGK0Avmkmo/s3551/20230903_110340.jpg)
3 boxes of new Schulz figures. The boxes contain 23 Prussian Infantry, 27 Austrian Infantry and 9 Prussian battalion gunners.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmBvOYK4JZfYASWyUiYntJXSZHxdgzXjrJbymWUjHEDKp16rUDGhz_BIoWC3WGtvPi8qfdf44xwPZcQwtJMPU6n-5lZOA7-54k9XZTZ-ibJL7Q0t7rBTYLiS5HnyBlDk9h0BFT3ILP9zi2HyeHh2bsurZRHy4zxpHEnEoIZjxtj0g1vdrpWmveZc3bVtA/s3210/20230903_110302.jpg)
I bought 2 secondhand boxes of old Kieler cavalry figures that cost 15 Euros a box. I am not sure how old these are but the packaging could be pre war.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTzrH4K-kMQ0tI25bBp1A0oSay7xro1MKQwnIANjF4yntnhqATvA-przMX3QG6QJZwXngKkPe_V009DVdtNSjEP88_xGTFWQ2qucfn-eCZldECWKV1MaZVPK-lKMAwa8UXz0Tb6W2AEn1tVsUPYeTT1cNbadDVsOnKMUGzQRgwy6ZdH8D7AVuhrqg-Gmc/s3560/20230903_110214.jpg)
The first box of 15 Prussian hussars included 5 that have painted as the 4th Puttkamer Hussars the remainder are unpainted figures. I will do a paint restoration although I am not sure if these are original factory painted ones.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijfvFX2o9ZWRmMs-amacHCrfwktlkvOdPzHKBo-TSFKof9UA4njmJWdAhAW9XGVVFNMVI38D2h6ijGVclzpSgScpYRcG8lncyXd8m6VJZIcFMD9T-t8LcHOLH_xux25iK_0zn_LmZUZys7bQNHMQ00vSosn9bt0AVZxLb4ky7RF-MXEN9zg9uu3HSMaCY/s3262/20230903_110233.jpg)
The second box contains 10 part painted Austrian Dragoons and goes to show that lead, or should that be Zinnfiguren, piles exist in Germany.
Thus is going to be kitchen table collection and my current thoughts are towards a battalion represented by 6 figures on a 60 by 30mm base and cavalry on a 60 by 50mm base with 5 figures. I have enough figures now to do 14 infantry bases and 8 cavalry and a couple of guns.
Rules wise DBSYW, Volley and Bayonet and Charge come to mind. For Charge each Infantry base will represent 12 figures and a cavalry base 6 figures.
-
Simply incredible! :o
The 40mm label on your blog is one of the best things on the internet. Zinnfiguren looks like it'll be another great series if things go as they usually do on your blog.
-
Great project, will follow this with great interest. :)
-
I painted these 6 figures over 11 years ago when I got my first Zinnfiguren. Yesterday I rebased them on my new basing as part of my restarted project.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgXDZDY6ip9VKaDhp9hCiqL530lF-2b-JtdXwxnJnWDWxEDJXp1PYVToXqOIi-itvRh6UDhhE8byAVTiuDBnCHhQzlP3Pkwz2zFItpOAstBXdlVxmYdylozh1g5kPXvvCkM4Zjj4a3TIcYuYjeNzLW7FMManY3RlUjT5rq90GJ5sDflzjxsAGT-L7Y5Rg/s3475/20230904_092526.jpg)
This unit is the Erbprinz from Charge. I have on 60 by 30mm and stuck two mdf bases together so the bases are easier to pick up and move.
Each base of Infantry will represent a battalion and I will paint two battalions for each regiment giving me the option of deploying 2 bases as a unit if I wish.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIagrMi4H43T9Ha98VQl7qsTsyeDKxOzUIdTR69M2xoNEwZ7D73kK5Bub4B5IHJk8wLlPVAjqmd8eNjsUFHarRK67iyXERkrGgKMq37-WFQn1e7qfi4GaTiNo4q2_q_UyCQDEgfZQpvC9dC0t-JAhUYszIvGrWnjPIDovBxJXtL8TNz60AiH26ysw9sDQ/s1990/20230904_092044.jpg)
I will probably do a few Imagination units as well as core Austrian and Prussian units. This allows greater flexibility as they can fight for either side depending on the scenario.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF-xQKtCvlo2r0CpBTBw7BgaM5awGEnFhpNe_2k4KqpGLytAWwYeJ6XwWdGw7EBtZYtrNBRz4FHbJu4eONuSyjx1vuD04jn6g26gwuROxR7m0t2DMFKsTOP4fRRQStDs_9qVRQltZW6qs9WZjootSm9JK4WM1ztAupsm8dLnVNznocUlAsgd6kDHR0j5w/s2006/20230904_092454.jpg)
Next up will be some Prussian Grenadiers which I painted 7 years ago. Once these are done I will start painting some new figures.
-
Lovely stuff. One of many regrets about my trip to Berlin was not going to Berliner Zinnfiguren.
-
I have completed my latest unit of Zinnfiguren - they are the 4th Puttkamer Hussars.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCLVsczhMF8_6_ye01r8AxSq1yJING5JS_rGGyDSS3LoVwxKLrmH371IWfwyL6ngnFF9mNgGYw5imOdJowEMpJEoisvDTN7MZz0LVIVAs06badMT5I4BQ2caNUTuKsj7vYIOIAPapLiy21MmgCrGAI8WQ41A3y9UqlIJtEhhX-4Itn6z_ACu405SUy2vTi/s2684/20230911_152154.jpg)

Cavalry will be mounted five figures on a 80 by 50mm base and will represent a 5 squadron regiment.
Next up will be a tidy up of a previously painted unit of Prussians - the 17/24 Grenadiers and completion of 3 extra figures for the Erbprinz.
-
My latest ebay recruits. They are 87 years old figures in original packaging. Once I have stripped the paint and painted them they will be as good as new.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVxRtBd9kWV8zPtzt0CqTvyAoBWwAvriFZObOaOfm5V2GBgxxyMsVbJ1Zjp6YsK1vOW_4MvU_nztB3xKp7Zzqy6Bp78e6OGwWJTvIiakrS3i5o-80rk0Jh6kUn4VTNB9XxtVEu6z1q4j64LjjL7upQlWVmqyEvlHZd3CidN2dz6gerRhQwgrzONmYEtmE/s3748/20230914_091943.jpg)

What a score :o
I guess being nearly pure tin they are quite strong and handle age quite well compared to lead alloys.
-
delightful figures (and boxes!).
Hope you continue with this collection / project.
-
I have now painted extra figures to bring my first units up to strength. I am loosely basing my collection on the battle of Freiburg in 1762 as this has a nice mix of troop types.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj46KCL2hXw9_K-A3IHQcr0yB7P4HhgHa92JAfXge-OgP7dVug2B6b_PeFYQgnoRa4196Pjbw3Y8oNelIrEPvxWAWq66nMbYlIqezdZ3n1LmrfvQg85-ah7Q7-X7lTlVurv9C7Vaytv3fjj4huBghrWL588MbmELM6jeLekJdaiXArH0blzsXFXi9Ar0sY/s2720/20230926_093801.jpg)
I have used 90 by 40mm bases for Infantry and 90 by 50mm for Cavalry.
The bases are painted a nice shade of Green using Vallejo Golden Olive (857) and I have stuck a piece of green felt to the underside to make it easier to slide the bases across my kitchen table or green mdf playing surface.

-
Looking at these beautiful figures, the Charles S Grant rules spring to mind .
-
fantastic.
-
I have completed my latest unit. These are the 7th Batthyányi Dragoons.
During the Seven Years war they were commanded by Heinrich Hartenberg.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUF40ipNE8v9SPCyo6HmCqr8anh3YnylaX8renVQ09yOHXH7zuuX8qMsRavrzybSLIR1TEDcaJ2ajhCwfIrmB05n5_yj0TZ93uYh8Lnnq0Qj2prNjrix3x29pKvcM1xspFhvPB7GwTEx6tBpaeg3f4BsRQPyuBMGDYUGDgN-8sET4XnEhUeeNig6S7jgg/s2334/20230930_063904.jpg)

I am using Acrylics to paint my Zinnfiguren. For shadow I use Acrylic inks with Burnt Umber and Sepia working well on horses. I use grey ink to add a little highlight.
These figures are from Kieler set 1428 - Dragoons in Angriff (attack) and are certainly dynamic looking chaps.
I have started my next unit - the Mainz Lamberg Infantry.
-
Lovely old school vibes with some super brushwork. It’s going to be a wonderful game to behold when it hits the tabletop
-
The dragoons are lovely, very nicely painted and great looking figures. :)
-
Beautiful. Anyone who thinks wofun standups are a good idea should see these and rethink their stance.
-
I have added another unit to the Zinnfiguren armies.
These chaps are the Mainz Lamberg. I have used Scholtz Austrian figures from Berliner Zinnfiguren.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2asg34pvUXEXxeiI6dGW78Je2yo_-djYdnzsvqztoL3gdBUY2BuwbjDe5rYt4kvXkGfcFhtswlTxq-DFMc0Ca465DWP8Ht_UQYubATexTnMj9DWDBEVv1CJqNiEKQQ_ufAbnj_NM7ZA3bR6tfETOinBFqOC4fPyC_tOi9fbR0bmjfoPIXv8y6F1Dpue0/s3186/20231003_115057.jpg)

I am still learning what painting technique works best with these figures but find 10 infantry or 5 cavalry a good number to paint as a batch.
The Mainz Lamberg served with the Austrian army and was present at many of the battles including Freiburg.
Next on my painting table is a unit of Austrian Cuirassier.
-
My latest unit. These are the Pálffy Austrian Cuirassiers.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvara2ceUYU40MLm5OFm-WWKEUQ4X7nxShiPUzl-NIBkODwGbs39kUc-annsaaMByN8UmxM5paODXgO5E95PStDvY5N8nMR4AUED7PMl8EqZ02xa2mt3Aa4T26mwHLfnuU-A5OFJqkwOtU14KMD3IEzsZb-OB2iCZcraORB2riVPiDbVfwToORi6jJ020/s1934/20231009_165030.jpg)

I have also recently bought a job lot of Kieler figures which included a rather nicely painted Seydlitz figure.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4UgVdDI9fDT8BJUI40qXfNkDwPF3_V1qWwuc1DGPnfnFNxVsZzurZ4p61iT5Pe8qyiPXwjsvA51VSN8uYxd-eG486wFFbHYAYUpcnFI4u82abSNPXWQX7S6w4btLPXB0w-NMt_p825zUUItdg5HnW8-tBWvAlEQLzgJ96enz0j22dfH5GGytbn6QfBh8/s1968/20231009_164950.jpg)
I found this figure useful as a reference in trying to see what I could achieve with Acrylics. I still have a lot to learn but one thing I will not be doing is trying to use oils to paint these figures.
There is on other thing about Seydlitz figure. He is only painted on oneside. This is common for figures which are then used in dioramas or mounted in pictures frames.
I will use this figure but clearly he can only lead charges going right to left.
Next up a combined Austrian Grenadier unit.
-

Oils have their virtues but for figures with a certain relief those virtues are not needed.
“Charges from right to left”, and maybe retreats from left to right…better paint his other side!
-
Very nicely painted figures with excellent free-hand, and they look lovely ranked up. I am eager to see this project develop, Kieler produced some truly lovely Zinnfiguren. As I understand it, their sculptors were master pewterers by training, hence the high quality.
-
I have completed 2 more units for my Zinnfiguren project.
First up is an Austrian combined Grenadier unit. These are made up of the old Kieler figures I recently got from ebay.
This unit is made up of the Grenadier companies from the Salm and Roth Wurzburg regiments.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiEY3gPHpkOF-1eTBvAgtwVb6uSqwFwUZwxjCD-KqPvHxwQatiQ_vQKRd9m-FgRa6z9YxRWiJYO9QXoBEnYIL7BPOgtWzwivTq11JI3P7KwgqIC5izkR9GK8gRY4TzVyQ05cxqlEruZjOqBGF4lYC0VQwKi41ZCjyXToWmYZhl9L6RFUb6CRqFfR4ow_g/s1990/20231015_160104.jpg])

The second unit is a Prussian Grenadier unit. I got these figures as part of a job lot I recently purchased. They are again Kieler figures and were already painted. I decided to make some minor paint changes and these are now the 8/46 Alt-Billerbeck Grenadiers. I have some extra Grenadier figures so may add a couple of extra ones to bring this unit up to strength.

Lovely miniatures and painting - you should visit the KLIO-site on FB.
Cheers

My latest unit for my Freiburg Zinnfiguren armies is the Prussian Krockow Dragoon Regiment No 2.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhChOnOawEglWl8asaij8Qi8dEfB5ZLIiZV5Ti9anOHdX1GEU-nXCB0SoBeFB23vran6nK1nBSLaGIF2pAjtChMfKiDc4aNcBJab10T6oeZnqUEcHOsx2Xt54CqTKfHyDiYEqXFnIAswWH7sRAiZYvcCa-306PgsFYGaWxIOcjTFD_zBdP8E7zM4JraT7Y/s2415/20231022_084754.jpg)
I have used Kieler figures for this unit and they are certainly in dynamic Charge poses.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIQmcLuYardduwBwR47BdCYJE9CzDZtO29bo-qJUqYUG2MXIQIKVd8rNzEtcsGvELnaJUK8_dF4yT-vlTvF-Ol43Fsuwj2WG_WXuV0f09BLJ5Hv4I73QbfRBlUNLTrwdB2zW2FsadbvThYxCcirYgfGIfoghlTjAe0qwhNkhLlMuqINDSnnvcbtodiR4I/s2212/20231022_084733.jpg)
I could not find a nice blue for the uniform some mixed a couple of different shades together. I used Liquitex Prussian Blue ink for the shading.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmqwgYt4DR6_ykQUubUhsyYagGfbiIIQyx6VSQSmVF3ltmQn7QRdDo5sYiGXD8dc10uLismfLn02UuzmwCMG5rJiKyRLrFLAX0sar_MPPR6guzhPErYOQRrkXt9wwxdVdBwPiscn9SkKv3Jng-pKkbaJYEjpoFPouRRbuUhjPcfLgKXlj0_bPLQ8EFHGE/s2937/20231022_084830.jpg)
A closer view shows the detail of the figures which although fine is pronounced enough to paint and shade.
-
Very nice and excellent painting. Following with grat interest
-
I have been painting some more Kieler Zinnfiguren for my Freiburg project.
First up a unit a Prussian Frei battalion.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBOsg_XJzSmbyD-PMOPoY60720Fbs-ygvaUW4-PwejNtPL8kIxjQzbLytAonOC6X5QU8OD0J1-Sy8ujDXuwMa0C3YDSrladqUC6_iOys3edTDEqtQ0o48p6nY9F_4qdjy2mGpZuLhIZ21Ua3-hqvpuTHWMyJzcBKA3bIG6clQCM0Qz_eX0r33ZbJGr7h4/s2481/20231113_091337.jpg)
I have painted these as the Frei-Infanterie von Lüderitz and these were part of Kleists command at Freiburg.
For my next unit I decided on a paint restoration on the remaining old factory painted Kieler Austrian Grenadiers I bought on ebay.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWJS0wGxmGCM_KIP6BLkQVxho65rmEDN5wiKcxtDARBlaTY1g7i2FfUj-Sx6xCI3hBR8mQ-rL-Qd6wOYBYEQTpaoCpBOAQTQ6ChfSOGa_jGbis37W1sWvMHZ-UIc2xY_6SX_xyStbsUggCIjd1kMaebUFUQVsX7X311OPKBghAO_iQpqIccU6_SGSecy0/s2884/20231113_091655.jpg)
This is how they looked before my restoration.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqoCbd4HHrW7e2dl_ngQdqEZYX9nYhUUYGPSCiRESp0cKZ0FKrkVUGQvzAk1jbYtLvkr8H8oyWIeYMeHo_fjWq_345SJdpu8YbjQvHf9IoZuCBuW8dpRr08vkIiDpP_yknu67gJfbeR4LoCo7JihsYN6vJU-JI65QIbCqcQk-ovBBXliENoiwOz6GLbMM/s1956/20231113_131604.jpg)
I have tried to recreate how they might have looked when they were bought in Vienna in 1936. I repainted, touched up and tidyed up the paint work.
Finally I have painted an Austrian officer again using a Kieler figure.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnvq-oa-3YOPda_d0qQgxgJHaT6ylc3l70a5U_QxpY0Mm3wmCKzZV4YLrdjtKzsdkl1DzXbVr9e57yWCfl8jjbQXMcUXfEgh9cua0ghLB_iwMFG7FgnSKTpJlJykxKz8R_KXNn0t5GpUY5j58FNHbKPVhFrY9Flo-nhNIswDSl7PKBdunxGHASs1yr7To/s2386/20231113_091613.jpg)
-
Lovely work once again, the Prussian look great, such a super uniform. Good work on restoring the original paint job on the Austrians, you have done them well. :)
-
Very nice. I was at the Warfare show on Saturday and someone had laid on a 20 x 6' table displaying the battle of Domstadl/Domasov from 1758 using flats. Certainly the most impressive display game there. Maybe if I'd found flats 45 years ago my gaming life would have been different....
Thanks for the inspirational project.
-
yes, indeed. Such a great fit / look for rank and file.
-
Brilliant stuff
-
My latest painted unit is the Karlstader Oguliner Grenz in their earlier pre 62 uniform. The privates are Grunewald figures whilst the NCO is a Kieler figure.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0xcDoaVWFHu4IzpIS-FYpThbKwMlmMQtUsvB2YQ8VkfSPvZYY048TXWS9ArIiugbw4NcfO5rtN-0_y5D8kVYiE1hyphenhyphengQtj1DtkK-EEWEiYJQLUIwTot7G711VGu0WEttoGdCgVabl2KOlCpgNUsOmHFbvUFaZaoTKlmiU_wuOFoNhGunQnKep_9Mq7iT0/s2225/20231120_131331.jpg)
I have also bought some second hand painted figures from the Berliner Zinnfigurens Flea Market

cor, that Prussian cavalry ...

I was sorely tempted by flats at one stage and rather regret pursuing that path having seen your wonderful units. That last cavalry regiment is fantastic. What is extraordinary is that while two-dimensional they have so much more "life" and energy compared to most round 3D figures.

yes, they do come across in just that way. Although the better '3D' figures can have these qualities too I'd say, even going back to such as Gilder-era Hinchliffe.
Maybe as they're almost 'drawn' rather than sculpted, and are perhaps not prone to quite the same casting demands as fully 'round' figures, this degree of animation, and schooled draughtmanship, was more readily achievable with flats back in the day ...? dunno.
anyway: always been entranced by them - from Prince August home-casting (semi-flats I think actually?) to photos of Tony Bath's collection.

I have added 5 more units to my Zinnfiguren armies. Four of the units were secondhand painted figures I bought from Berliner Zinnfiguren a few weeks ago when they had a sale.
The 5th unit I have painted used Kieler Austrian Dragoons as the Saxon Prinz Karl Chevauxlegers.

The Berliner Zinnfiguren figures have been used to add two more Infantry units. These are the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Prinz Moritz 22nd Infantry Regiment.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNJ5AOJ8H7Hd3e26sLalsLeadEb1r7k53XR2myl_QATHM28ziSy26ddUUTKfB6EDqJfRUXfvw3UCJkMlJ4vJJIw2O4e-juQacuP_aP32q7MEGeEGUEKc_q2ogWnhng8U6cj5Z1xqo8JzT2DybXdvjX2FRB24maL9-SXxWQojNbZdyRBWqa_5wBPbpyYqM/s2346/20231220_132322.jpg)
Two further units are the 12th Portugal Cuirassier Regiment. These are Herbu figures are particularly nice and full of motion.

The painting of these chaps is rather nice as seen in the detailing on the saddle cloth.

Next up are a couple of guns and once these are done I think I will have enough for a small game.

Splendid figures! Enjoying seeing this project develop.

I’m enjoying this thread. The figures have such movement in them .

great stuff.

Very inspirational!

I had my first game using my Zinnfiguren this morning. The Combat at Zinnberg was played using the DBSYW supplementary rules for DBN.
The game is a simple affair with the Prussians attacking the Austro- Imperialists.

The most inspirational miniatures project I've seen in a while! :-*

I have now added some Prussian artillery to the collection.

The figures are a mixture of Kieler and Scholtz. The full round gun is from Eagle miniatures.

My latest SYW unit. I got these as job lot of part painted figures on ebay and decided to finish them off.
They are French figures however I have painted them up as an Imaginations unit. I just need to decide on the Regimental name.

Excellent jobs! an enviable collection! Keep them coming!

These are just excellent! :o :o :o
When I was living in Barlin, I was able to persuade my wife to marry in the Zitadelle Spandau where they have a permanent exhibition of real Zinnfiguren.
If you ever are there, try to schedule a visit. It’s a bit far off the main attractions but worth a visit.

Just discovered this thread - your collection is simply beautiful:)

It been a while since I did anything on my Zinnfiguren armies. At least I got this chap done. I have gone with my standard scenic basing for him. Now looking to convert the rest of my collection onto smaller bases with scenic basing. It will give me something to do over Christmas.

Love these figures! Well painted old bean.

I played another game of DBSYW. The set up was based on the Battle of Fontenoy and I used my Prussians to represent the British and Allies and the Austrians as the French.
(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNTY681g2cxVSi0s1N5Nbvp7s00cb2AJQF3lcjGzgRpnaNB_VueKQdkzXKIWGMKJf-zk_1VeOzWzAiYNbCr7qdvwoJLAvTFlfeoXIvqMExhMX04zswKdk6MqmK80eS7KUR0-SH7fm8_CXXPcZQLN2u5hspzLrilj6WlURTHaiBF4fTPZf7Ou0-9Anz-5c/s1474/20250326_161600.jpg)
The action opened with the Prussians moving into the wood to get rid of the pesky Grenz. This fight was to last most of the game.

In the centre and left the Prussians advanced to musketry range. For the next few turns each side took hits but with the Prussians gaining the upper hand. Fontenoy is captured and the Austrians right is destroyed.

The game is tight with each side having lost 8 units and both have a break point of 9. The Prussians however are able to destroy an infantry unit with musketry breaking the Austrians.
