Last night I and two friends played the Escort scenario for Ronin/En Garde!, mostly following the En Garde version but with a few changes owing to using a much larger table – which you can see here:

Close-run thing but ultimately won by the Shogunate player. I had raised the points allowance for the escorting force, something that was definitely necessary here, but might have been less needed if using the more 'intended' army lists with fewer missile troops for the attackers.

Beautiful table!
I've held on to the En Garde rules, in case I wanted to back port any of it to Ronin, but so far have been playing Ronin as is, straight up. Well, we've also added the FAQ bits.

Beautiful table and what sounds like an exciting game. I like the fact that it was just the main bod and his bodyguard that made it….. just, very heroic and apt.

@Jack Hooligan for what it's worth, this was also played with Ronin as-is (plus FAQ) because I didn't have time to work out how breechloading rifles would work with En Garde!

Great table EnclavedMicrostate, what a fantastic range of buildings you have for the table, very immersive.

Great battle! Very bloody, and the board looks fantastic.

Can you share with heads you are using for your Imperials on the left? I've been looking for some head swap flat caps for ages to make some Shogunate skirmishers.

Those aren't head-swaps, I'm afraid, they're some slightly modified Union Lightning Brigade (Old Glory if I recall correctly); loads of filing and Green Stuff was involved! Not sure where you'd get ACW head swaps but that'd be the next best thing, probably.
