Title: Colour for italians other than the desert
Post by: Idguardnomore2 on 30 September 2023, 11:55:58 PM: As the title says , I'm looking for a colour that's for Russia preferable Vallejo. Any help would be appreciated.

an Olive Drab & dry brushed them with a 'dust' colour, which in 15mm
dealt with all the 'detail' such as webbing.
Sorry, but no idea which brand/shade of paint, & he has since passed on.

With Vallejo suggestions.

Interestingly, the initial contingent may have worn an undress / work uniform that was more grey in colour during the summer of 1941.

Post by: Vanth on 05 October 2023, 08:45:34 AM: The italian grigioverde uniform had a distinguishable blueish tint that finds no equivalent in any paint range, to my knowledge: the suggested Olive Grey is clearly too green to be accurate, IMHO. The only acceptable solution I found is adding to VMC German Fieldgrey a bit of VMC Luftwaffe Field Blue or a similar bluegrey tone
