I came across a fascinating blog quite awhile back and it dawned on me that the worldbuilding being documented in it might be of interest to folks here. While originally designed as a way to “reskin” the Traveller RPG it would work equally well as a setting for various tabletop skirmish games.

To get a feel for what the author is trying to express about the setting…

I wrote about why I really like the setting on my own blog…

Fascinating and well thought-out game setting. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

I played a game of traveler a few years back with a character from the Soviet Peoples holy Tzarst Democrat Republic once. He was a mechanic and I based him off the cosmonaut Peter Stormare played in the movie Armageddon.

Not enough time for me to get into another project, tempting as it is. I posted this for others more than for what I might do with it.
No, no I have entirely too many projects on the go to take on another. But it would be great to see what others might get up to.

Thank you for sharing, I like this idea a lot. Always good to see more inspiration for world building.

Thanks for sharing this. It looks like a good retro-future dystopian setting that's not too ridiculous and over-the-top like 40k. The original post didn't mention the constant shortages and rationing that was a hallmark of life in those socialist countries. That would be an interesting constraint or plot point in games.
Plus, it's about the only place not corrupted by capitalism!

Looks interesting! Interesting use of AI (Midjourney clearly in this case) to generate most of the images as well.
