My latest blog post looks at two lesser known elements of Montrose’s Scots Royalist army in 1645: Irish dragoons and a Scoutmaster called Blackadder (really!). More pictures, and a suitably cunning background description here:

Lovely painting. The Baldrick unit goes nicely with them…..

First off, great looking figures and well painted and based. But I did have to laugh at the first picture when I first saw it. The SMG is looking so stealthy, peeking out from behind the bush, yet his standard is standing out well above his position waving gallantry as a target saying, "Here I am, but you can't see me!" 😁

Thanks, Hitman :)
I’m glad the ‘gag line’ for the base comes across. This is exactly how I imagined the fictional Blackadder with his two side-kicks. Blackadder knows he needs to be in cover, but his best laid plans are ruined by Percy and Baldrick’s stupidity. :D Note that Baldrick (with the horse) has a drum, so the enemy will have to be deaf as well as blind to not know they’re there ;D
