Hi here’s the Carthaginian Sacred Band for my Early Carthaginian army, with a mix of figures and armour too - iron and bronze corslets with linen pteruges, linothorax and bronze scale.

Nicely painted, good job!
-
They look gorgeous! The shields really make the unit pop :)
-
Nice work! What do you plan to put next to them?
-
Nice to see some Early Carthaginians!
-
Thanks gents. I have a couple of chariots and some Libyan spearmen to paint and then they’re finished.
-
Where are the chariots from?
Are these intended for action in a Sicily campaign?
-
Very nice.
I’ve been thinking about Carthaginian chariots too!
Agema used to produce them.
Newline?
-
Well done! They look great. Looking forward to see more!
-
Yes the chariots I have are Newline and Agema, see pics below. Xyston do very nice ones in 15mm. The Carthaginian Sacred Band only really fought in Sicily and Africa. We played an Epic CCA game of the Battle of Crimissos recently which was fun:

Very nice Carthaginians !!!

Hi thanks Nikkobourges.
-
I really like the chariots.
-
I like them too! Great sculpts, and a great paint job too :D - now on to the Libyans?
-
Nice chariots!
I assume the top picture of a pair, are the Newline version?
I can’t get hold of the Agema one.
The Newline is probably a better choice, as the crew fit the description for the rule set I use.
-
Thanks for the comments guys. Yes the top two chariots are Newline and the bottom one is Agema with a Newline spearmen. The Agema chariot is a mdf kit and one of the crew is a bit fiddly you have to pin and glue the spear hand...
I've painted these units of Victorix Carthaginian citizen spearmen and Libyan spearmen but still have more units to finish.

:o :-*
I look forward to seeing this army all together on the table!
-
Great looking units!
-
They look wonderful! How do Victrix scale next to Agema and Newline?
-
Thanks, they’re fine all mix well.

Cyrus
Love you Noble Carthaginians, great work.!! :-* :-* :-*
I am currently doing an Early 28mm Army as well.
In regards the Punic Chariots , I have the Agema ones .
They are a Superior Models to the Newline one IMHO ( which are quite ok )
However it is a lot more fiddly ,difficult, and takes more time to assemble .
Cheers

Hello,
Very nice unités !!!

Thanks gents. Some tips with the chariots. Make sure with the Agema one that the spear armed figure is on the left of the chariot with shield over the side of the chariot when gluing in the crew. It is easier to paint the Newline chariot cab with the wheels off.
