On a rare trip to the UK, I attended the WARFARE show yesterday where the Werelords group were demoing their amazing looking game
"Cloudships of Mars revisited". Not only did their table and models look fabulous, but what a wonderfully welcoming and enthusistic set of chaps they are..even before they found out that I am a fellow Space 1889 affectionado!
Thought I would share my pics with those interested, here at my blog

Very nicely produced.

Thanks ever so!
I was about to ask why no one ever corrected me when I for YEARS I said Warlords, but I gather a name change happened when I wasn't looking... ::)
I've tried to do the 25mm version outdoors with really ugly, greebled bottles and oblong plates, but I think, assuming I can find my copy of Miniature Wargames again, a recent purchase of Action Fleet Desert Skiffs suggests an American fleet. Ranger didn't HAVE to be a one off.
Also, thanks for the Woking piccies; I had seen images of the tripod, but never the rest of the installation. The sight of the 'ploughed' bricks was worth the price of admission alone! ;)

PS Primed by the blog's title and the mention of claret, my first view of HG in the distance on his plaza had me thinking it was a goblet in his hand. No matter; a glass was raised in salute!

Thanks Doug - a Mk 2 statue of HG should indeed include a glass of claret! :-*
I'm not sure what the relationship between these chaps and the Warlords was/is either - what I do know is that they were wonderfully welcoming and my kind of wonderfully mad!

Ooh, aah!

Perhaps not. Apparently, his 'bolshie' tendencies drove him towards 'moderation' bordering on temperance, though the quote I found included proscription against excessive opium, tea, and polite conversation, as well...
