Title: How do you organise your Italians?

I’m wondering about Italian infantry and their ‘two big squad’ platoons.

In wargame terms, do you treat a platoon as two ‘elements’ or split the squads in half to give four ‘elements’?

Obviously it depends on the rules to an extent, but which gives the better feel of how the Italians fought?

The only experience I’ve had of Italian organisation is from the SCW - three squads per platoon, each squad of two ‘fire teams’ (one with lmg, one without).
