Hello, everybody!
I'm getting back into the miniature painting and wargaming hobby, after a long hiatus of around 16 or 17 years. Back then, I had collected and played Games Workshop stuff. Now there are so many other options and manufacturers available!
I like fantasy and sci-fi. Pure historical gaming is not for me, but I do like "weird historical" stuff, pulp. And one of my favorite things about the hobby is converting minis, so I tend to pick up a couple historicals as well to convert into fantastic settings. 28mm scale. I'm taking things slow, so for now I picked up some Wargames Atlantic and North Star Frostgrave/Stargrave plastics.
I'm into skirmish games, like Song of Blades & Heroes. These tie in well with my main hobby, role playing games.

Welcome back, I think alot of gamers return eventually
I took a break for almost 30 years
Loads of us play SoBH, I'm currently knee deep in the Arthur and Merlin version

Welcome back, prodigal son. Happy to see that you brought vocative commas ;)
There are plenty of skirmish fans hereabouts. It seems to be a golden age for them with plenty of rules and figure options both old & new. Some things that have really caught my eye here on LAF are people’s Mordheim, Five Leagues from the Borderlands and Necromunda/Inquisimunda projects.
What sort of rpgs are you playing?

Welcome on LAF! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks!
What sort of rpgs are you playing?
Mostly D&D (old or "old school revival" editions and variants), some Call of Cthulhu, occasionally some other systems - for example, I recently tried the 2d20 Star Trek game and liked it. I plan to look into the Conan and John Carter 2d20 games.
