a new job with a lot of downtime and realising I've really neglected posting on here besides my Silver Bayonet stuff... so a quick dump of my sci-fi/MC1 project... most of this has been on my blog, so apologies if you've seen this before (although thanks for following the blog).
So... my block, based around the windows of a Playmobil airport:

That's the basic block built. Foam core, clad in card and then surfaced with plasticard to allow placement of various plastic bits from the Maelstroms Edge sprue and elsewhere. It's going to be relatively modular with bits added with magnets. First, for a very MC1 flavour, some buttress toppers. Made from some TT Combat building corner bits for the head and lots of precut MDF pieces for the body and wings.

The first of several signs/fillers to vary it up a bit.

And some alternative toppers made using some spare bits from the classic Millenium Falcon.

It's bigger than I anticipated, but feels soooo right for the Big Meg...

Wow...love it mate - great use of the Playmobil parts to make a really striking terrain piece.
The swappable signage is a good idea 8)

thanks, I was reading your MC1 build thread when I realised I'd never shared this...
So... big question, how did that go?

Hit another brick wall with my Mega-City project ... I'm at the stage where I need to rationalise the number of projects I've got, simply because I've run out of room ;D
Not saying I'm going to sell my Judge Dredd collection (unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse), but I can't physically get it on the table right now...on the plus side, the Stars Wars project just keeps ploughing on...which is of course a major reason why I've run out of room lol

Looks great 8)

Great work. I love the grand eagle motiff.

Very nice. I like the look of both sets of buttress toppers.
