And done… the scarf is a bit wrong, as I followed the pattern from both ends, knowing I wouldn’t meet in middle as I wasn’t doing precise thicknesses, so the left hand end gets repeated a bit behind the neck and a I made a bit in the loop up. But works. I’ve assumed the sculpt is based on The Invasion Of Time, so tried to follow that, but it was the 70’s and everything was brown. Added the little red roses to his waistcoat, but they don’t stand out against the brown. All in all, quite happy with that.
Varnish is annoyingly satin though.

Nice.

That is one very well painted figure.

Nice job!

Brill, the scarf looks great :)

Excellent ;D

That's a wonderfully funky Doctor now! I suffer from the satin varnish problem too. There has been no satisfying solution for hand brushed varnish for me yet. >:(

Absolutely spiffing 4th Doctor!
The satin finish looks well on the coat and boots, like leather. If you could matt (Winsor and Newton Galeria matt varnish) down the other bits and bobs, he'll really pop!

(Winsor and Newton Galeria matt varnish)
I ordered it from Italy today, because I can't get it in Germany and ordering from the UK is absurdly expensive since Blighty left the Union. I look forward to experiment with that magic liquid!

Nice work.

That's excellent... mine is in the quue and seeing THIS is intimidating!

Wonderful work on your Doctor!
When I can't spray W&N Professional Matt Varnish I use a mix of Tamiya flat base & W&N Galeria matt varnish to brush on. Some one on LAF long ago suggested the two in combo and it has tamed every gloss finish I have thrown it at.
