About this time last year I had the opportunity of visiting the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum near Cairns, and have finally got around to putting together a post looking at this amazing collection.

There is a lot of stuff presented at the museum, with some very rare and unique pieces of military equipment that can't easily be seen anywhere else and this is part one of two posts looking at the collection.

Awesome post, I really love that Japanese type 31 mountain gun.

Excellent post :) Thought I knew my WW2 allied tanks but the Sentinel was a new one on me.

I was in Melbourne in November, and visited the Shrine of Remembrance - it was very spectacular to see. Part museum, with some incredible displays.
