Hi everyone,
I just found out about some new "not-John Carter' miniatures from the talented hands of John Winter. His company is called Tin Man Miniatures http://tinminis.com/TinManCatalog.htm (http://tinminis.com/TinManCatalog.htm)
His first releases are scheduled for November 27th (I already pre-ordered for my birthday on the 28th!) Here's a few samples below:

Great looking stuff. I hope it's compatible with all the Bronze Age Miniatures in my collection.

I hadn't noticed...I was distracted by a couple of other large things :-*

DAmn, shes going to have back problems.

You forget, Mars has a lower gravity, gives Uplift an SF meaning David Brin never thought of.
Glad you recommended this Matt.

That's nothing compared with the nude versions of these sculpts that you can see when you click on the "adult" link on that catalog. And the other large things are just as lacking in support. Can't wait until Mischi gets ahold of these minis and wows us with his paint work. That Princess Livia is great too! Of course, all those large things come at a large price, much like Hasselfree Minis.

Staring "Peter North" as Jack Carson! "Penny flame" as Princess Livia, and
"Gianna Michaels" as Princess Delia lol

So THAT'S why she called him "Her Chieftain"! lol lol lol
-
so are they going to make the green men, solders, and other dezens of mars?
-
Reminds me of old Boris Vallejo paintings. Very very nice!!!
-
Yes, it needs an epic airbrushed background!
Love the retro board.

I just noticed on Frothers (where else?) that Jack Carson comes in a, uhum, sans loin loincloth version to. Very Flashman at the ready. http://www.frothersunite.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23451 (http://www.frothersunite.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23451)

Didn't notice the adultsonly section. Im rather disappointed.Dejah Thoris is nuder with a jewelry chain around her waist then she is in the altogether.

Nah, they are cavorite implants. :)

Until this company makes that stuff, all the green men, soldiers, warrior women, harem women, pirates (black men?), four armed apes, blue leach men, thoats, and banths can be obtained from Bronze Age Miniatures "Dead Earth" line:

Bronze Age is affordable too. And, personally, I prefer the Bronze Age red Martian princess.
-
Yes, indeed! Bronze Age makes some awesome miniatures but these new ones look really good as well. And it will be nice to have more options and poses. :) :)

I don't get why people have to ask that question when there's a number of other manufacturers that already do the subject quite well. It's not like there's any "compatibility" issues here.
Happens every time someone makes something neat, "When are you going to go back and retread the same ground everyone else does to go with that specialty figure?" :)

I'd like to see what this sculptor has in mind. I believe that there are more figures in the pipeline. His initial releases are very good and, IMHO, better than anything else out there for this genre.
Paroom, Bronze Age, Heritage and Hinchcliffe figures all reflect the sculptor’s interpretation of the characters. There may well be some "compatibility" issues for those who are picky, like me.
:)

I think Bronze Age and this stuff will look really good together.

HAH! Both nerdy and bawdy. Gotta love the Hammer:)

o_o.....Uurrrrcckkk!!! Those first Michi pics were a bit "in your face," weren't they? I suppose Jack Carter is routinely greeted with the question, "How's it hangin', JC?" To which he probably replies in a Virginian drawl, "You can see that very well for yourself, Suh!"
Saw another paint job on the semi-clothed versions of these figures last weekend. A local painter had added a jewelled metal neck band to the princess, which seemed very evocative of Mars.
