Hopefully someone can help me.
I've been looking for some Vietnam rules where figures are based in fireteams or squads rather than singly.
I think CDS looks about right.
But before I take the plunge I'd appreciate some advice that I don't seem to be able to find anywhere else.
It's about basing and organising troops.
How many models per base?
And how are they formed into platoons?
If someone could give me a breakdown I'd be really grateful.
Cheers.

Hi
CDS is a company-sized game where the smallest manoeuvre element is the infantry squad or weapons team. An infantry squad generally begins the game with 8-12 men, a weapons team with 2-5 men (AFVs and helicopters are treated as individual models).
A platoon is made up of a number of infantry squads and/or weapons teams (or AFVs).
It doesn't matter how you base your figures as long as you have a way to indicate casualties. I base a US squad as a mixture of one- and two-man bases mounted on 5p and 2p pieces respectively.
