This new wargame just popped up on my Facebook feed ,I don’t know if anyone else had seen it ??
It’s from an ex GW employee

I've been looking at getting involved with this game. Think of a mix of medieval crusades, creatures of hell, WW1 technology and trench warfare in a very grim dark setting.
The rules are by one of the guys behind Mordheim, so that's a good start. Currently the rules are at playtest level, but they are already better presented than many commercial rule sets.
There is a Facebook page for the game plus an active participants group, both well supported by the game designers. The files section in the participants group includes the latest playtest rules and a quick start sheet. An official range of figures will be released in due course, but you can use whatever figures you want. Many players have produced some wonderful conversions using 28mm plastic figures and 3D prints.

This game is extremely exciting, I'm just trying to decide when to dive in.
With a quick start sheet out and the basic rules formulated it may be time, but I'd kind of like to wait for an actual rule book if they
release one.
It's generating quite a bit of buzz in our community. Mordheim is highly revered and this looks like low model count good fun.
Here is a large model, a Trench Pilgrim, apparently a prototype design they painted.

This seems like a great mix of historical themes.

This game has popped up in a couple of forums I frequent and seems to be creating a buzz.
It's unlikely that the players I know would be interested and I do a lot of solo gaming so the rules are not of great interest.
However the concept and visual stuff is.
The rulebook and associated miniatures are going to be offered via Kickstarter at some point this year and I may be tempted.
Currently I have started amassing a few parts to kitbash the protagonists detailed in the playtest rules.

I'm really excited by this one - Mordheim & WFB 6th are still 2 of my 3 favourite GW games & Tuomas is great: on this one he's engaging really well with the growing (fast!) community and really responsive. It's conceptually really interesting & the modelling possibilities are endless...
We had our first runout of the rules yesterday and had an absolute blast playing it (with proxy models) - the system is simple, intuitive, logical and creates excellent narrative play, forces tactical decision-making and fulfils my criteria: fun, fast & furious!
Would recommend....
I predict that the KS for this, when it's out, is going to go *ballistic*. :)

Mike Franchina who is the artists behind trench crusade is a nice chap, you can find a large gallery of his work including trench crusade art on twitter and artstation: https://www.artstation.com/sirfrancisdrake (http://www.artstation.com/sirfrancisdrake)

I’m also very excited about TC, I’ve loved Mike Franchina’s art for the setting for a long time, and getting a game for it online is great news! Likewise working on kitbashing some troops for the game :)

I'm very excited by this one. I've started kit bashing New Antioch Yeomen from Anvil Industry bits and Fireforge Games Northmen Warriors bodies and legs.
I'm aiming to build one of each warband to get a feeling for the game. So far I've got parts for 3 of the 5 currently revealed (there will.be 6 in the initial set).

It is going with a bang of weeks long artillery barrage. 1,79M USD at this moment.
Game looks very interesting, not sure if I toss some coins at KS, but I think I try to hunt some minis later.
-
I have went in on the KS for the book and a warband.
Great to see it doing so well.
Plenty of factions to choose from too.
-
The premise strongly reminds me of Cell Entertainment's 1999.
If the game is any good, it might well be a reason to haul out the 1999 factions for an outing...

Well Tuomas Pirinen is one of a few ex-GW game designers that I rate, many are just name-dropping the GW connection and releasing poor games. With Tuomas you'll be getting a very good game but why, oh why, keep flogging the 'grimdark' thing - I'm kinda jaded on that schtick now and I absolutely loved Mordheim. I may pass on this one, at least for now.

You know you will come to your senses, then you will be behind and have to play ketchup. Join in on the fun now.

Nah, I'm good - my 'A War Transformed' book arrived today so I'm leafing through it and planning the expansion of my WW1 French. I'll leave you guys to your Grimdark trenches and I'll go for a walk in the light! lol

Honestly it seems to have been market demand more than anything. Mike Franchina has been doing TC as his personal art project for over a decade now, and getting "we want a wargamme!" comments on it for just as long. Not always a guarantee that it will actually sell, but in this case... 3.3milion says it does.
That said I'm super happy to see it doing so well. Mike is paying his sculptors decently for one thing! (he better be, I recommended some of them to him myself!) and all of the crew working on it are great people in general.
That said I do kinda agree, "grimdark" seems to just be what is in fashion for the past 3 decades now.

No room for atheists here.

Atheist, moi?
I prefer to think of myself more as a philosophical neo-theological pagan but there we go.
I'll get me coat.

Good idea on using the 1999 miniatures.I had been thinking about it too.
Just fun to be-able to kitbash stuff together for the TC game setting.
Picked up two more sets of figures Today to try some other idea's out.

Getting 3.3 million was a great result.Just wait to see how many people add more money when the pledge manager open's up.Also late backers might get another million.I know that i intend to add to my small pledge of book and one warband.
