Title: 28mm slaves and things
Post by: dooger on November 19, 2009, 02:45:49 PM
Hi again all,

Thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction when I asked about African animals. I have visited many of the sites you suggested and there are some very nice figures out there. While I thought I was bookmarking every one I wanted to revisit I am now having trouble tracing one (only one!?). I am sure I came across one which had a "pack" of about 5 or 6 chained figures maybe with a guard. I think they also had various "Arabian Nights" type figures too. I've scoured the ones I thought it might be - HLBS, Ral Partha, Obelisk, Megaminis, Reaper, North Star, Gripping Beast, RLBPS, Miniaturicum, Blazeaway and Black Cat. I just cannot find what I am sure that I saw though.

Does that ring any bells with anyone here?

Thanks very much.

EUREKA!! I mean "Eureka" - was looking at another thread and found the reference to the Eureka site and lo-and-behold there they are!

Thank you very much, that's the very one. I'll check out the Bronze Age minis too. I started off thinking just "expeditions in Africa". Then added "Rescue the maiden from nasty pygmies/wild apes" and "free the slaves from nasty Zanzibari's". Now I'm expanding to "neanderthals, amazons, prehistoric animals, blood-thirsty pirates in the Lost World"....argghhh. I just need by T & T rules. Oh and 6 months to start painting would be good!!
Loving these forums - lots of inspiring photos and ideas.
Thanks
