My friend Vynnie recently put on a 28mm sci fi game consisting of a multi faction (Quar assisted by Dreenoi bug men [commanded by John B] and my armored mercenaries) assault on an alien lizardman base. The main thrust of the assault was by Leadfool's Quar on the right flank with the mercenaries in the center and the Dreenoi on the left. Because the Quar were attacking the most heavily defended sector of the base they took most of the casualties and were held up until a lucky hit damaged the base's defense systems and the Quar's off board artillery support came into play. Once this occurred the forces of good were able to storm the base and capture/destroy the objective. Fun game with excellent terrain by Vynnie

Well that’s spectacular! The scenery certainly looks alien and the attackers and defenders fit quite well. We just don’t see those classic figures on the table often enough.

Mikos,
Great write up. It was a fun game. The tech levels really make a difference in those rules. Having Quar fight with other old classic figures was good as well. Quar can go anywhere.....

A great looking game.

Cool looking game and the terrain has a really nice style to them.

Great looking game.

Great looking game! Also nostalgic for me seeing those Dreenoi and Ralnai troops on the table. :)

Love to see Tomorrow's War being used, and I love seeing the Quar in action. What a delightful post!

That look like a great game. A wonderful terrain setup.

Yes, great to see a game of TW, and the terrain looks fab.

Looks fantastic! Great to see those glorious old Fantasy Forge Nexus buildings!

My thoughts exactly. :) Great table too; it truly looks like an alien encounter for everyone involved! Thanks for the write-up and the photos. I really like FoF/TW.

I love the Lizardmen base! The whole board looks great...

Great looking board and game! I honestly do not really get the hype about the Quar, but I am also toying with the idea to use them as alien forces.

Love that Scotia Grendel scenery. Always one of my faves. Game looked great fun.

Yeah, those cool Grendel domes, a staple. I had some back in the day, though not this much. I'm glad someone kept a bunch and painted them well, they really shine here. Really awesome looking game with well painted figs, good terrain and such. The better the game looks, the more interest, and the more new players are drawn into the hobby.

Awesome write-up and great looking game! Lots of old familiar terrain and figures!
-
Great to see Quar take the table and those Scotia Grendel domes are brilliant.

They are still available, and pretty reasonably priced - https://www.shop.scotiagrendel.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=227_220&sort=20a&page=4

Your buildings, in particular, are wonderful.

Now the Quar will be getting some reinforcements thanks to Rabbitz. An Australian dropship.
