Exeter Legionary 2024 is on MAY 11TH 2024.
Legionary has been run by the Exmouth Imperials for possibly too many years now, and hope to make the show even bigger and the most varied wargames event in the area. We always have many wargames traders selling historical, fantasy and sci fi figures, rules and terrain; several demonstration or participation games (and room for more), and the usual huge and busy bring and buy. So if you want to buy, sell, play or just look at wargames in May there’s no better place in England.

Exmouth Imperial Wargames Society is a wargames club that has been running for about 20 years in Exmouth, East Devon. We play a wide range of games – historical, fantasy and science fiction – and all scales. We’d welcome more players so if you’re in the area, feel free to pop in.

I shall be attending. Really enjoyed it last year, so looking forward to tomorrow.
-
I shall be popping by in the morning. Is there any info on the games being hosted? I found traders info on the website but the games page is blank.
-
Sunjester, we must attempt to say hello tomorrow morning. I should be there from around 10.00am and my esteemed colleague Douggers, should be there too.
I've seen no info on the games, but they do have a Facebook page as well as the website.
Those of a nervous disposition, should look away now. This a photo of me (taken by Douggers), having lunch at the show last year. If you see a fat, balding bloke with a straggly beard, come and say hello (although there may be quite a few answering to that description)!

Apart from the beard that description fits me pretty well! lol
I shall look out for you.

I shall look out for you.
You can’t miss him - he’s routinely surrounded by a gaggle of ridiculously beautiful women - The Snapcase entourage will sweep majestically round the venue, a path will be cleared by his sinister bodyguards. I’ll be holding the train of his robe.

...and a great pleasure to meet you and your good lady. So nice to meet fellow LAFers face to face.

The pleasure was mutual, sir. It was great to chat with you and Doug, as well as couple of other old friends. I had a very enjoyable morning at the event and the hosting club were very welcoming.
-
It was good to meet up, share car paring conversation and the realise I knew you already….!
I meant to get a LAF selfie but by the time I’d remembered, I only got myself and his lordship:

That was a very cool shirt, Doug.

There were some good games at the event, including a very nice wild west set up.

The high point was the excellent Medieval naval game by Cornwall Wargaming Association.

I managed a few purchases, it was nice to see some of the smaller, independent traders that do not normally get to the shows up my way.
