Title: Beefcake's Battletech
Post by: beefcake on 06 May 2024, 07:36:27 AM
I've finally managed to get into my battletech kickstarter from a few years ago.
I picked out a few of my favourites. The rifleman being my favourite aesthetically. Also the King crab because it is a beast of a mech. Everyone's favourite little Urbanmech, the Pheonix hawk and the Atlas.
You can't quite see it in here but before spray varnishing I added some black weathering pigment to it, the dusty sort which I think works great for giving laseburns, sorchmarks and exhaust marks.

Very nice, I to, need to get into that KS from a few years ago that's still waiting for attention...  ::)

But I will.

Well done getting into it!

Nicely done. The new look Urbie is cool but does not have the "charm" of the original design.

Yep, I had the urge to do it with the new kickstarter I'm putting out. It has Mesas and a ravine so really reminded me of the old mechwarrior 2 (or was it 3) PC game.

I'm not sure what the old urbie looked like. I do like the look of this one though but not in my top ten I don't think.

Basically an upside down dustbin with legs:

A surprisingly effective little mech in close terrain where it's poor speed does not matter.

You've gone straight in with the King Crab!  Excellent!  But is there another cooler mech you can still look forward to?

And the 360 fire arc also (just thinking from the computer game here though)

DEfintiely. Still the Marauder (Grey Death legion Hero Mech) and the Warhammer plus the Locust which is also one of my favourites.

Great mechs. Well painted mech are always great to see!

I especially like deep rich red on the King and Rifleman.

Thanks. Yes that's my favourite colour scheme of the 2, but you know. You need two different colours at least :)
