Title: Life in the Roman Army, Part Two - British Museum
Post by: carojon on 18 May 2024, 06:39:12 AM
The second part to my post looking at the extraordinary exhibition in the British Museum covering 'Life in the Roman Army' is now up on my blog.

(https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQBcfwnzzGkiTAXhl8RVhh9F6rcc9HYuYt9k_JVCcUea5OrOUWRtTKuijIrsk89OpsQOVoU9ffRNhwfRB3HHkkn6AshtilcxsLD5wXuGUjKJUR23iFEGi7VgT1nQdeNjYXFyrDldMBSaxQZa5R0nntSTxfhUi7INu5jW0IQ4ukNsmaM_q2YVhOhG68tUY/s1786/Header%203.jpg)

The same spoiler alert applies to the first, and so if you intend to go and see the exhibition before it closes next month, you might want to look away, but then again this might wet your appetite for the pleasure to come.

As always, for those interested in knowing more, just follow the link to JJ's

Very nice blog post. I recognise many of the colour pictures you have used but can I ask where you found the picture of the Roman Marine and the three chaps eating a meal "somewhere in Germany" as I don't think I have seen these ones before?

I too will be visiting Partizan tomorrow but sadly not in search of anything Roman.  I think there is a big 28mm "3rd Century Crisis" game there whihc I will be checking out.
