Each of the threads is an inspiring resource for folks who are interested in doing something similar. I haven’t read all of those threads yet myself, and will definitely be snooping through them over the next few days.

I’ve been wanting to run a Frostgrave and/or RoSD campaign with my partner but having all of the specific terrain needed is daunting and I think prohibitive for many. I know you can substitute with some basic items in the correct shape but the aesthetics is half the appeal of these games.

Sometimes I wonder if it would be worthwhile for manufacturers to provide basic terrain sets for each scenario of the games they publish to lower the barrier of entry for those with few resources or skill but who want the full experience of a campaign that looks appropriate.

I suspect that it would not be cost effective to do so. However, the nice thing about Frostgrave is that the system is open enough to use either what you have to hand or what you can get hold of from a variety of manufactures.
