Title: Who makes Halfling Civilians?
Post by: Cacique Caribe on 28 May 2024, 05:41:58 AM
It just occurred to me …

I’ve never seen anyone produce sets of regular unarmed everyday Halfling civilians/townsfolk (for “28mm”).  Have I missed any?

Reaper Make miniatures makes a few (there’s a pack with a male and a female farmer, a pack with a barmaid, a cook, and maybe a few others).

Westfalia miniatures made a pack or two of resin Halfling civilians. I got them through a kickstarter a few years ago, not sure if they’re in general production or not.

Bronze Age Miniatures makes a pack, or maybe two of Halfling barmaids.

There are probably a few more scattered around among the miniature manufacturers. No idea how they scale with each other, though. Among combatant Halfling figures there’s a variety of sizes and styles.

I will second the suggestion for Midlam.

I’m sure there were some in the original Citadal ranges - probably a bit small compared to today’s figures.

Also think I’ve seen ones in the various Reaper Bones Kickstarters.

And I want to say Mantic - but wonder if I am making this last one up!

This reminded me about the ones on the warmonger site.

Though I'd also like to add to the recommendations for the Midlam figures.

If price is no object, GW has a few in the 'Scouring of the Shire' section of their Middle-earth range:
