Title: Lupus - a LARP gamer turned into a tabletop gaming miniature
Post by: Michi on June 14, 2024, 04:50:40 PM
I was given this very miniature more than twenty years ago by the one, who introduced me to the many facettes of the hobby, when he stopped tabletop gaming and completely turned to cosplay, pen & paper rpg and computer games instead. It was poorly painted by himself in the colours of his real fantasy costume for LARP adventures. He passed away now and I repainted the little impression of him to my standard to raise his avatar on the tabletop sooner or later. Unforgotten - Lupus:

I have no idea who made that cast, maybe Mithril? It might be possible that some LAF members also crossed his path at one of many conventions or concerts...
Here is a video, that was made by somebody, I don't know:

Nice memory, Michi. The model is indeed Mithril, a bandit thief ( if I remember correctly ). Nice pj.

A great paint job and a wonderful way to remember a fallen comrade. I'm sure he'd be proud of the job you did.

What they said.

If you’re interested, it’s Mithril’s Hundin the bandit chief (link) (https://mithril.faerylands.net/product/m192-hundin-the-bandit-chief/). The blurb on the page says that the figure is a representation of a friend of the sculptor. I’ve got a vague recollection that the friend in question is John Treadaway on South London Warlords etc. fame.
