I'm not sure whether to put this in Pulp or Horror?
Colin and I have embarked on a new case using When Nightmares Come, again set in the 1920s, this time centred around the Balkans. Background and first game is on the blog https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2024/07/when-nightmares-come-balkans-case-1920s.html

Gothic Horror is fine. Interested to see how this develops :)
-
I have never heard of undead werewolves.
Are these like zombies or something different?

Looks like a good game. What do you think of When Nightmares Come?

Reaper does some - https://www.reapermini.com/search/werewolf/latest/14563
Their treatment is probably closer to zombies, but I guess the subject is open to interpretation :D

Our heroes have a nasty encounter with something hairy in the moonlit forests https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2024/07/when-nightmares-come-balkans-case-1920s_10.html

Really enjoying the story :D, and really must get my finger out and at least roll up some characters
-
I`m really loving these games. Beautiful boards
-
I think the Balkans make a great setting for all sorts of games. Great looking table.

Thank you all very much for the kind words. More updates to follow in the next couple of weeks. lol

I've just built some were-bears, zombie werewolves and GW Fenris Wolves. I seem to be spending all my time building and painting, so I just never get around to the actual game side of things :(

Game 4 took us to a boatyard on the edge of the city. https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2024/07/when-nightmares-come-balkans-case-1920s_30.html

I've been pretty curious about these rules since they were announced - enjoying your campaign. Thanks for sharing it.
-
Really enjoying your Balkans Campaign. I'm thinking about getting a copy of the rules now. Your Venice scenery is looking great too. :-*
-
Thank you for the kind words, chaps.
When I started using When Nightmares Come I thought that the games might quickly become a bit too "samey", but now I'm into my second campaign that has not proven the case. I'd recommend anyone to grab a copy of these rules and try them out. The beauty of the Osprey Blue Books is that they don't cost a fortune so it's easier to give new things a try out without hurting the bank balance!

Great looking game :-*
I keep painting and building figures for it, but I really must do something about actually organising a game
