Not sure if the (Commercial) tag is appropriate since I'm just some dude, but I do want to get some awareness on this.
Black Site Studios is producing and publishing a second edition for This Is Not a Test by World's End Publishing. Black Site Studios is doing pre-orders via one of their Backroom not-crowd-funding campaigns, and it starts today, July 12 at 11AM CST - less than an hour from when I'm posting this.

I recall first edition had some fans and real traction here some years ago, especially among the DIY Fallout crowd back before Modiphius picked up the license. I thought I'd share this here for anyone that would be interested in an alternative to Fallout Wasteland Warfare more in the vein of classic Necromunda, or just enjoyed the first edition like I did. Black Site Studios has done some quality work in the past, and I've regretted not jumping in on the Backroom for Don't Look Back second edition.
I think I'm going to be in for the digital tier plus a print book, at least, myself. I'm also eyeing the physical dice and wasteland deck pretty hard too, but I want to see what the add-on costs will be.

There was a group locally that liked it, too. I read through someone else's copy, so never purchased it. I felt it was not exactly what I wanted back then. Who knows? I might pick it up when it is out this time... lol

Thanks for sharing. It's been a long road to get here and I am very proud of the new edition. I am especially excited for the new dice, templates, and assorted ephemera. They are not necessary for play, but they are so cool.

Is there any chance we could get some new solo rules for this edition? Maybe something not quite so flowchart-reliant?

I've got first edition, I've never played it but it's a nice book, just never got round to it.
What's changed for 2nd edition?

Is there any chance we could get some new solo rules for this edition? Maybe something not quite so flowchart-reliant?
So, I can only speak for myself, but I have never been drawn to writing solo rules. I'm not gatekeeping on the concept, I play solo video games for sure, but the inspiration just doesn't come. The free rules are very complex, but they were written and provided by a fan and I thought they were nice to have for the folks that wanted them. My only contribution was to pretty them up. If anyone wanst to contribute another fan made version of solo rules, I would be happy to give them the same treatment. Honestly, If I ever wrote solo rules, it would be more akin to a cooperative experience like Rangers of the Shadowdeep, rather than solo warbands fighting it out. That being said, the NPC rules found in Reality's Edge do border on solo rules, but again those are more isolated pockets of NPC models reacting to two players.
I hope that provides some perspective. I do appreciate everyone's feedback.

Of course I counted down the days to launch and pre-ordered immediately. Waiting in placing a second order for the Caravaners to see what other goodies open up.
