Hey all, been ploughing through Glen Cook's The Black Company, and like any gamer with the attention span of a gnat, I immediately was thinking about putting together some minis to represent the company (maybe a force for Dragon Rampant?) The series is pretty light on detail in general, but several times Morions are mentioned. I noticed that Warlord sells some Morions (no head attached) but otherwise I am unsure of where to look for Morion helmeted heads, ideally ones that would be suitably scaled for kitbashing with Perry or Fireforge plastic infantry. Any ideas?

The Wargames Atlantic Conquistadors set includes many heads in morions, in more than one style (I forget whether it’s two or three). That might seem an expensive way of acquiring heads but I’m reasonably sure there are enough in soft caps and other helmet types for all the figures in the box (24) so nothing need be wasted. You could start with a single sprue from an eBay seller to see whether the idea is likely to be cost-effective. It mainly depends on how many you need.

If I was ever aware of these, I had completely forgotten. They look like they would work pretty well. Thanks for the suggestion!
