So after re-watching the 'Andor' series, I got my mind set on some small skirmish gaming in said Star Wars universe. Now I wanted to avoid the Skywalkers and Jedi and concentrate on the small rebel cells trying to take down the empire. Now as an added bonus I can use all my stormtroopers from the Star Wars legion game. I'll just have to ensure any figures I use are on the same bases to match in. So starting off with a basic Rebel Cell, I just simply re-purposed some figures I had from Stargrave as they were not seeing any use. To these I picked up a boxed set of the Stargrave troopers, mainly to paint up as Corporation security, I'll think of something for the rest of the figures.

Good idea. I look forward to some interesting AARs.
-
Lovely stuff, scotty! I really enjoyed Andor. I smiled when I saw those Corpos.
-
cheers guys, got plenty of stuff lined up to build and paint
-
Looking good. Any thought on what set of rules you will use?

I'm thinking of Galactic Heroes from Wiley Games
-
Always handy to have a few creatures available for scenarios. These 4 are Nexu, from the Imperial assault game. Picked them up second hand for around 40p each, including postage. Just gave them a quick paint job to get them table ready.
-
Completed another 5 Corporate security agents. These were put together from the Stargarve troopers boxed set. This brings me up to 10 which should be enough for most skirmish games. For Galactic heroes I'll probably split them into 2 teams of 5.
-
Good evil corpo colour scheme.
-
Those Nexu were a great find!
Love the corpos as well :)

Definitely the way to go. Our ongoing SW campaign (also on this board) uses FFOL GH, they are ideal for these numbers of figures. :)

With a first game coming up on Thursday I'm trying to quickly get through as many figures as possible a it will be a 4 player game. So 2 bounty hunters built from the Stargrave plastics and 2 Droids that I picked up from Northstar. Will need to give them a suitable name. I'm also hoping to get 5 ground crew figures completed in time for the game
-
Good luck in your game! That's the same rule set we've used for our small scale skirmish in Sci-Fi (though I am thinking of testing out Space Weirdos for the heck of it). Post a game report after you're done -- would love to see it and read about your experience.

The latest batch of figures. Taking inspiration from Imperial technicians. I used a mix of bodies from Wargames Atlantic and arms from various other sets. The head gear is not 100% but will do for me.
-
Looks good! Definitely fits the more grounded vibe that Andor went for.
-
Cool. looks like a fun idea.

First mission on Sicaro VI. Only one team achieved their objective and 2 of the team leaders are in custody, perfect excuse for a rescue mission. I read your report on your blog -- sounds like a heck of a game! I also bookmarked your blog and will be back to read more soon... :-*

I don’t fancy the odds of the poor bastard who was backed into a corner by two Nexu.
Great looking game!
-
Cheers guys. Already planning a follow up scenario. Got a few resin bits and pieces on order that I'll need for the game

One thing I was apparently short of in our last game was some suitable buildings. Not talking about platforms and Industrial bits n pieces, actual places for people to live. So rummaging around in some boxes unearthed a couple of Adobe buildings I had made many years ago. These got some additions of blast doors to replace their wooden ones. I simply covered the windows with some spare plastic bases to represent shutters. They will not win any awards but will help fill out the table for future games.
-
Yeah, I'm struggling with Sci-Fi buildings, too. I have a small handful of dome structures, but need ordinary stuff, as well. Those definitely have the Star Wars adobe look to them, and good idea on putting on new doors!

Picked up a couple of vehicles from Oshiromodels. Gave them a quick paint job as I needed them for the second mission on Thursday night. I went for a blue base coat so that they match my corporate security teams. I may give them both another layer of weathering tomorrow. I've now got to work on a shuttle and a couple more cargo speeders.
-
Nice work - I've got a bunch of those Oshiro vehicles and they are a joy to paint
:)
-
Thank you, definitely going to pick up a few more of them
-
The Oshiro stuff is great. Perfect for SW fun. ;)
-
A couple of 3d printed cargo sleds. These will see use in future games, either transporting cargo for raids or just to act as scatter terrain on the table
-
Good job on this project, we can definitely see the andor's vibes.
I didn't knew that game system, thanks for the discovery.

Game 2 of the campaign saw the Rebels try and spring their leaders from custody https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2024/10/episode-2-free-rywanda-2.html (https://scottyswargaming.blogspot.com/2024/10/episode-2-free-rywanda-2.html)

Your town looks good, a real hive of scum and villany.
-
It's a combination of collections from club members hastily pulled together for the game
-
These are dark times for the rebellion, indeed! :'( I enjoyed the photos and report. You guys did a good job scraping buildings and figs together. Looks great!

Another blog to read for more Space fun :D
-
Cheers guys, hopefully episode 3 next week at the club and let's see if the Rebels have better luck

Been a while since I added to this collection, with thought turning towards running another game I decided to add a few Imperial security droids. These are 3d prints and I think I have enough parts to add another 4 models.
