Title: Looking for 1960s US Navy sailor
Post by: Mad Jack on 28 November 2009, 06:18:00 PM

 Hey y'all...

Froggy the Great (All hail the Frog!) suggested I should ask you guys about this. I'd appreciate any advice or links you could give me - I'm strictly a 28mm fantasy guy, so historical/modern military is a bit out of my area.

I want to paint a mini for my father, who was assigned to damage control on the USS Fulton during the Cuban missile crisis. What I'm looking for is a 60's-era US Navy sailor, either in the white hat and blue denim day-to-day uniform or the whole white Crackerjack-box outfit.
Ideally, I'd like something in 25-30mm or similar scale and in sort of a neutral pose (i.e., no guns or job-specific equipment), but I don't much care about the scale.
Froggy spoke highly of this forum's ability to find an accurate representation of almost anything. Any thoughts?
