Title: Terrain Tutor asking for Help
Post by: Quendil on 18 September 2024, 02:53:42 PM
The Terrain Tutor is asking for help, he now says he is sorted

I have always found his videos really helpful especially all his Burma stuff.  I have sent him what I can.

Hopefully this is ok to post here.

Saw this, truly sad!

Hopefully things improve for him. Someone elsewhere suggested maybe a bigger company could pick him up as a full time in-house terrain guru; not only would this give him peace of mind, but also the company would benefit from his fantastic skill set!

I donated - I don’t follow videos much, but I use his modeling book. Hopefully he gets back in a better space soon.

+1 exact same sentiment. He deserves better for his talent and content

Really sorry to hear - Mel is a godsend for various projects.

Sent what I can.

I donated a bit as well. It feels only right after all of the content he's provided.

I was thinking about his terrain book but it seems only Warlord have it and they're charging a ridiculous amount, seeming like nearly twice what other vendors had it for originally. Does anyone know if there are any other stockists?

Caliver has it, but at pretty much the same price - https://www.caliverbooks.com/bookview.php?1b99bq8jpsr94m9btqonjn5he0&id=28740

Great shame, hopefully he'll be okay.

Never heard of him before I saw this thread and watched the video. Donated so hope he gets sorted out.

I backed the KS back in 2019. The KS cost was $45 + $10 p&p. Converting to UK money, it came to £45.14.

I know p&p has to be added, but it has dropped a bit in price, as it's now £35 from Warlord and £32.50 from Caliver

I was just checking the video to find the address to donate to, and he's posted that he's good now :D

Glad he got out of the hole, but it won't disappear overnight.  Hope he sorts stuff out before the next month's bills come in.
