I have posted on BoardGameGeek (BGG) a series of extras which people who use the RWNN may find useful. Look in the Files section of the BGG listing.
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/10307/the-rules-with-no-name
Some of these could also be useful to others who use different rulesets.
Content thus far is:
- Programmed Instructions for learning RWNN (start simple, build up). There is a lot more to come here (trains, boats etc).
- 5 Scenarios linked to the above (more will follow).
- An expanded Skills List (but not too crazy).
- Tables for generating both individual characters and force groups (number of people, class, weapon, riding ability, skills) for a large number of types of groups (Gang, Lawmen, Mexicans etc, right through to Bounty Hunters or Wagon Train Settlers).
- My standard cards and useful counters.
- Bystanders - rules, cards and counters. For added mayhem.
I have a few more files submitted to the moderators, so will advise when they are up.
-
The moderators were really swift, so the additional material is now out there:
- Rules and cards for Historic Characters (and some film characters).
- Random Events (both pre-game and in-game).
- Escape! How to resolve the end-of-game situation where one side flees. The others can form a posse and chase after them.
More to follow in due course.
-
That’s awesome. Have very fond memories of playing this years ago.

I posted on the BGG images page a few pictures of historic (and film) character models in 54mm, plus the associated card with their respective skills.

Thx

I have added a ?Trial Resolution? procedure on BGG (under the RWNN site, but useable by any system) that you can use at the end of a gunfight to determine what happens to any captured protagonists.

Latest addition: rules for animals. These include: Herd animals (cattle, sheep etc), Beasts of Burden (Pack mules, horses), and Wild animals (that you can encounter in the great outdoors).
In the usual BGG files area: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/297666/animals-rules
Enjoy!

I added rules for trains, and 5 scenarios (one more to come). There is lots of historic info in the trains rules - eg how much was carried in the Through Safe, how much you can get by robbing passengers etc.
I will do a separate posting here to get some conversation on trains, but have this one on this thread to keep a continuity on the RWNN story.
Material is in the files section of BoardGameGeek: [https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/10307/the-rules-with-no-name/files]
