Title: Almost the last train to Orctober.
Post by: peleset on October 29, 2024, 03:39:27 AM
Just happened to come across someone mentioning Orctober earlier this month while just happening to be poking through dusty boxes that included some old miniatures and had a sudden attack of nostalgia.

The result was a quite nice Nick Lund sculpt, with all the very obvious features that make a good Orc sculpt, being drafted for a quick dash to the finish line before Orctober was over.

A picture on Stuff of Legends showing an old Orc battleset from Grenadier Miniatures including this fellow.

And the fellow himself pointing the way.

I've given him the name from the last Fantasy Warriors box set by Nemo Miniatures I bought way back when, were he appears as part of the inner box art along with his Italian moniker, Gurnaz Manodiferro.

Great work on that figure, I like the colours you chose! The Nick Lund orcs are some of my favorites, they’re big (but not usually ogre sized) and have lots of equipment.
