Title: 'Get that Gate working!'

A visit from my friend Gregor, aka Zingara, was an opportunity for some gaming.
First up Galactic Heroes.
As we often do with quick skirmish games is play two games.
Each of us taking turns with each side.
As often happens (this time included) I got trounced TWICE !!!

Basic scenario, a team of large Tyranids has to get off planet.
Someone, or something, has attacked the power pack that should be working the Star-Gate.
This has to be fixed & the team get through the Gate.
The local lifeforms, 'The Primeval' (Nine Grunts & one mean alpha) will try & stop (& eat)them.

First up I was the Tyranids.
My plan = One to work on fixing the power-pack, two (with heavy lasers) on guard &
the leader in reserve.
Before I could do much beasts came strorming out of the stinking green mist.
One after another my team fell. Wiped out before I even got the gate working.  :o

Game two. Gregor not only got the Gate working VERY quickly, but shot up several of my beasts.
I hadn't even got to fire when I was Tyranid!
By the end of the game he had all but one of his team away.

Great fun & a good couple of games. :)

Excellent, interesting to see the nids as the protagonists rather than their usual role as the antagonists.
