Title: Old Build see the light of day - again
Post by: Cheeky Monkey on 01 December 2009, 11:09:52 PM
Many years ago - when the first Battlestar Galactica was on tv - I was inspired to build a space ship of similar design to the ones used on the show. A neighborhood kid had given me a bunch of old PC boards and I thought - "What the heck.....". With the proper application of balsa/bass wood, candy bar trays and model battleship parts to a puddle of glue I came up with the following :

Righteous...!! I remember how modeling took off in the mid-late '70's on into the 80's, with many people building the same kind of studio-scale space ships. Very cool, thanks for sharing!!

Nice. Ever since I first saw Alien I wanted to try my hand at the studio-style ships. Never got around to it though...

I like the old photo look on your pictures, really adds flavor to them. :)
