Susceptible as I am to pointless distractions into the microscale, I've found myself painting up some Epic 40k pieces. Epic was never a game I got into at the time (it was probably in its death throes of official support just as I was getting into the hobby properly, and 12 year old me would've butchered the models something rotten amyway), but much like Battlefleet Gothic a bit later, god did I love the look of the models!
First up, a Leman Russ. I'd initially picked up a troop of these to test out colour schemes for their full-size bretheren, but I have a somewhat different plan for this guy...

Got a couple of Predators on the bench just now that'll hopefully join him shortly...

Very nicely done
Now he just needs 11 friends.
We are using our Epic models with Legions Imperialis - which seems like a good iteration of the Epic stable

Lovely work!
I have Legions and plan to add Epic to it to make it more diverse.

Wow!
Great work on the highlights

Aah always great to see epic 40k on here. I love this scheme, much more bright and clean than what we normally see.
I'll offer an alternative option to legion imperialis, you can find Epic Armageddon (the last edition before the current fresh batch) complete online for free. Legally even! Incorporating all the FaQs but otherwise kept as is, with army lists refined balanced and refreshed by a still active tournament scene!

Yup, in terms of Epic rules there's no shortage on the interweb. :D Very nice colour scheme too. But I have to ask: Why is that battery not for retail? :O

Obviously its one of those double size display models, used here to make the miniature look smaller than it is ;D
