I really like this straightforward, fastplay ruleset. This time we tried it out for a Vietnam scenario. A US Marine squad fighting their way back through enemy lines:

I have the rules but haven’t tried them yet, so I appreciate hearing your opinion. That board is quite nice, too!

Very nice looking set up. Did the Marines make it back?

Thanks for your comments! 10 Marines supported by a Little Bird Cayuse had two alternative escape routes. Either through the little village harbour, to be picked up by a PBR, or through the mountain trail. They picked the trail but the 20+ VC managed to pick them off one by one and only one Marine made it to safety. I introduced two tweaks to the rules:
-Flak vests give +1 resolution card when shot at
-I introduced a new capability = Medic, which can heal downed soldiers if he can reach them in the same Player phase and draw a black card from the deck
Next game we will make another tweak allowing all miniatures within 5 inches from the leader to make the same action (move/shoot) without extra cost. This will allow for maybe doubling the no of miniatures and still manage within a few hours. Awesome rules!
These rules works so fast and smooth

That’s a gorgeous board - wow! I will have to check out those rules…I prefer quick and simple, too.
