I actually had a very light hobby Christmas.

I got a set of drybrushes, a brush and a texture stamp

I did buy myself some Skaven and the Forgotten Ruin rules from Modiphius, so I guess those count

However, there was a lot of chocolate :D

I have a copy of Midgard and a couple of Sarissa buildings coming that were supposed to be gifts, but they’re still held up in the post.   :(   It’s been a great Christmas despite that, though.

I didn’t get anything hobby related!

My spouse did get me a Gibson Les Paul Standard, in cherry burst, though - so I have NOTHING to complain about!  lol

Great mix of stuff here:

Frontier Wargaming paint handle set
The Silver Bayonet rulebook and the Riflemen box set to get me going
Goblin Wolf Riders and Skeleton Chariots to add to my fantasy armies for my Dernland campaign
A set of Gallows and some scatter for my Traitor’s Toll town
And some odds and sods like a really fun set of skeleton characters that I have no idea what I’ll do with but they look great.

I got another year of lies and deception and possibly scammed out of over $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 by Architects of Destruction' s Rampaging Dungeons for almost 6 years overdue kickstarter and Knight Models/Games Escape from Arkham Asylum closing 8n onover one year. Both companies have gone silent. Knight Models/Games have 🤬 deleted negative comments and both have ignored significant updates, communication, etc. for months. I and thousands more like me must have been very naughty to put our trust in these treacherous, fleeces!!

It lasts until Epiphany, right? :)

Well, as mentioned elsewhere, in early December I got my pledge for By Fire and Sword 2nd edition. Beside the books and a few units, there are so many bonus special characters (in 15mm) that I have to allocate a full day for identifying and labelling them. lol

Then right after the New Year I got a parcel of Warmonger goblins, very Adams-heavy, ordered from their Christmas sale. Therefore it clearly counts as Christmas stuff. Santa just got stuck in customs.

All actual hobby activity, apart from buying, has been on hold for a long time for reasons. Now there definitely is plenty of raw material. Regarding actual re-activation, there could be some hope, but that belongs to another topic.

Without wishing to downplay your obviously traumatic experience, just remember the words of the (anonymous) wise man: “Disappointment isn’t just for Christmas - it’s for life”.

I suppose it’s only fair to add that my gifts to myself included an unauthorised overdraft.
