I’ve been playing a few solo games of Might & Melee with a view of using them to play some small skirmishes with my youngest nephew. Really enjoying the rules but have a query regarding recovery.
The rules state that a miniature that is wounded “Must try to Recover if they are down or prone unless it is starting its turn in Close Combat”. My query is, what happens if the miniature is starting its turn in Close Combat? Does it have to fight at a disadvantage in the hope of winning and being able to use its second action to make a recovery role?
Thanks in advance

Yes, the miniature must fight before it does anything else. It will suffer the minus one for being prone (assuming it is down at the start of its turn ) and any minuses for shock it may have. If it wins the combat it automatically stands up and will recover from any shock it currently has. It will still have any wounds , those can only be removed by using the queen of hearts or any medics in the game.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. That’s how I’ve been playing it but just wanted to double check.
