Title: Best Ragnar Lothbrok (family) minis?

Hi everyone! I am planning on running a Viking Town Raid game at area conventions using a fantasy set of rules called Sellswords & Spellslingers. The player will all be Vikings and the A.I. and card deck of the rules controls the defending townsfolk.

I thought it would be fun (and perhaps draw more players) if I have the players (up to six) control Ragnar Lothbrok or one of his family members from the TV series Vikings to control their contingent of raiders. So, that being said, who produces the best 28mm figures (in your opinion) for:

Ragnar Lothbrok
Lagertha, his wife
Bjorn Ironside, son
Ubee, son
Ivar the Boneless, son
Sigurd Snake in the Eye, son

I'd love to hear your opinions! Thanks in advance...

I collected roughly the same theme for use in Saga, although I based my group on the 1st season. So a young Ragnar, Lagertha, Rolo and Floki (they were to be the command group, with unarmoured (or lightl armoured) vikings to accompany them. Think the Lindisfarme raid in season one).

If I recall correctly, Ragnar and Lagertha were from Hasslefree. Floki from a source I can't quite recall. I got Rolo from the same source, but he was too small, so I ended up buying a bare chested barbarian mini wielding a large axe, to which I would sculpt a beard and turn the two bladed axe into a dane axe. He might also have been Hasslefree, but I'm not 100% certain.

I'm sure that by now there should be better options out there. I'm pretty certain I've seen STL's floating around for pretty much the entire line up.

I second Infman.

Also The Last Kingdom board game has all the main characters who are with Uthred. These figures are really nice, and paint up very well. They are also 32mm in size but scale very well with 28mm heroic, and the Viking Saga viking kickstarter miniatures.

Infman, thanks for posting about Stronghold. I'm pretty sure I saw those figures at the Antwerp Crisis show before the Pandemic and was mightily impressed but didn't buy.

Check Sally 4th.  They released a set of Vikings that I like to think of as having "TV" styling.

Thanks, everyone for the great suggestions. That's true, I could do early season with Floki and Rollo as other leaders...  ???

I will start looking at the figs and then order soon!
