Welcome to the Build Something 2025 Topic Poll. This poll will run for 7 days, with a provisional start date still set of Feb 1st. I've pulled out a few ideas from discussions from this year and prior for voting.
May the best inspiration prompt win!

I put my vote in. Fifty percent have voted for it. :D
Mind you, only two votes cast so far. lol lol lol

I'm already thinking on "vessel" ideas...
Cool.

Amused some of the losing options have lost in prior years too. Always the bridesmaid...

Why stick to one theme? Let folk have at any or all of them. The themes haven't been that religiously adhered to anyway and it's principally an incentive for folk to get some terrain finished. You could award extra points if they managed to combine some or all of them like a natural but obsolete, vessel or machine.
Of course that's unlikley to be much of a surprise as everyone will just make a raft or a canoe. :)

That feels like a bigger departure from what we've done. Maybe for 2026.

It is not religious adherence, it is artistic license. Water can be something as easy as a canteen transport can be a simple scooter.

I like the competition having a theme, it gives focus to the entries, even when some of them may stretch the boundaries. Combining a couple of the themes may be interesting, but since the entries are judged by the membership, an arbiter awarding points doesn't really fit. Some more thought would have to be given to how run the comp so, as Burgundavia has suggested, maybe a good test for next year.

Less than 24 hours left. Will we see an unlikely come from behind win for one of the other themes?

Should I start litigation for a recount? lol lol lol

Conveyance! I look forward to to detailed diorama of a solicitor completing the legal paperwork for the sale of property. A detailed model of the interior of his/her office, possibly inspired by Bob Odenkirk's office in Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul with scratchbuilt miniature deeds of sale. :)

Vessel/Conveyance it is! I'll post the contest rules, etc. a bit later today.
