First game in a while with a Boshin War Skirmish.

Looks like great fun! I am contemplating doing that myself with the One-Hour Skirmish Wargames rules. Which ruleset are you using?
-
We used Men Who Would be King with no leaders and they done the job. These are El Presidente’s go to rules as well as the “Rampant” rules which are all basically the same.

Enjoyable read, thanks!
Always fancied using the female samurai sculpts out there and doing a "onnabushi" unit for Boshin War. Glad to see they scale well with Bach Ninh!
-
Looking good! Whose sculpts are the civilians and the onna-bushi? I recognise a couple of Bad Squiddo but not the others.
@Mudyinsquall So, I've had a unit of those lying half-finished for a while that I really should just complete when I have the chance. The tricky thing is finding the proper combination of both naginata and unarmoured (or at most lightly armoured) figures.
Footsore do a pack of two, which I have painted up: https://footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/test-of-honour-warring-clans/products/ishikawa-hanako-nasumeido-kana
Otherwise I think your best bet is to do what I did and get the Dixon packs of 4. Each has two unarmoured figures in lighter clothing, one armoured, and one in robes; depending on how much of a stickler you are, you could potentially use the whole pack, or you can be a pedant like me and consider only half of each pack fit for purpose...

Footsore ones are indeed perfect, but god trying to glue the hands on is a NIGHTMARE. So bloody fiddly.
-
I think all the female samurai are Bad Squiddo as I bought into their Kickstarter. The civilians are resin figures from a set of about 30 which were sold on Etsy. I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the company.

Great game!

Ooh, another great looking game!

I like your Imperial army troops, are they from Bac Minh?

They are Bac Ninh minis. ;)

Thanks, and sorry for the name misspelling.

No problem, you are welcome.
