Looking forward to attending Vapnartak on the 2nd February.
Some good traders there to throw my money at.
-
Indeed. Let us hope the weather gods are smiling on the day.
-
Yep, quite excited about it as the last show I attended was The Other Partizan.
I just hope the games at Vappa are improved from last year as, unless I really missed something, there wasn't much that caught my eye.

Three generations of Bob will be making our annual lead-pilgrimmage.
Always a good day out.
-
Hoping to be there...depends if my youngest needs a lift back to Uni

We’re trading again this year - always a great show! Pop over and say hello!

Any idea where your stand will be?

I hope you will bring the Colony 87 and resistance/survivors figures. Pretty please!

For those of us that are woefully uninformed, what is/where Vapnartak?

Biggest wargames show in the north of England, at York race course on 2nd Feb

Seemed a bit quiet this year? :?
After the morning rush it was pretty empty by 2.00. Thought there were fewer traders as well. EWM noticeable by their absence, certainly.

I thought that last year. Maybe the organisers might think of floating the idea of having more games on (I say this is based on last year as I didn't fancy the three hours down and back again (for a one hour train) journey on a bus since work is being done on the trainline every Sunday at this time of year. I suppose it's possible that transportation issues from the North are effecting the turnout too(?).

I actually thought there were more games this year, especially upstairs, and to be fair they had a few boutique manufacturers I hadn't seen before, but mostly 3D print stuff that just didn't seem....exciting?
I dunno, maybe I'm just getting jaded, but there seemed to be lots more second hand sellers I couldn't be bothered trawling through, loads of boardgames, and some stands that just seemed really half-bothered with mostly empty display cabinets and printed lists to trawl through and then check if the figures were in stock.
The stalwarts of Foundry, Pendraken, WestWind, Crooked Dice and Dave Thomas among others were as good as ever though.
-
Could have done with more games on display, certainly. But then, have Vapnartak been approached to host more games?
I’ll have a word with the local club about staging something next year.
