Title: Nosferatu - an appeal to Malamute
Post by: Ethelred the Almost Ready on 14 January 2025, 04:33:13 AM
Some years ago Malamute had a long running thread for his Symphony of Horror.   The concept and execution of this project was stunning Many of the photographs are no longer showing, just with large Photobucket signs.
Now that the new movie of Nosferatu has come out, I wonder whether Malamute would be kind enough to repost some of his  photos?

Sadly the Nosferatu game was by Vikotnik (Karsten) who is no longer present on the forum, I am afraid I do not have any of his photos.

Its a real shame as you say it would be great to see it again now the new film is out.

I was lucky enough to see the game in the flesh back in 2010, it was indeed a thing to behold.

Was it that long ago?  :o I failed to stop the Count and he had his evil way with Ellen! :'(

You've got me doubting myself now.

...

But looking into it, yes, 2010. I saw England win the T20 World Cup in a hotel bar on the way home, and there was that tense business with the Icelandic volcano stopping air travel. I think we were on the last flight out of Hamburg before they closed the airport.   :)

I've not seen that before, I'm guessing they were custom-made? It seems like a great touch for horror games.

I seem to remember someone was selling casts of this Nosferatu and the rat bases.

But I may be mistaken.

This was the game and board that made me go “wow” so this is what’s possible with tabletop gaming!

The black and white painting was done so subtlety and it worked so well it amazed me.

The part I liked the most was the film crew in the corner. Everything behind the camera was painted in normal colors. Such a cool idea and implementation.

I just realized that up until this point I'd been reading your name as "Anvil Giraffe." An Evil Giraffe makes much more sense.
