Apparently Helion have re-skinned my four TOE books on British and Commonwealth Armies with nice new photos and republished them with an opening offer:

if you have the existing volumes, there is no new information in them. If you haven't, some years ago a reviewer calculated that one volume had the same info as £69 worth of MicroMark lists (at old prices) so in that sense are a good investment.

Well done. I'll certainly take a look.

Apparently
that seems an odd state of affairs, as the author would you not be informed of what amounts to a re-edit with new photos and such? Just curious.

Indeed, I was never informed. As it happens I quite like the new covers, but it would have been nice to be asked. Oh well, at least I'll get a bigger royalty cheque in May.
