6/15mm Sci-fi / futuristic paper terrain?
Looking for sci-fi and futuristic sthyle paper terrain for 6mm and 15mm projects, mostly OGRE / GEV and Striker / Traveller.
I'm thinking paper because I can print it in different scales, but I'm open to any suggestions that are comparable.
Please reply with helpful leads and links [only]. Thanks!

Did find one - I downloaded some good free stuff from www.germy.co.uk

Dreampod 9 used to have a free set for heavy gear in 10mm.
TT combat still sells the drop zone commander city scape in 10mm
Fat Dragon and Dave Gratham both have some.

Hi I brought the TT combat drop zone commander city scape in 10mm after Christmas for my 6mm sci-fi stuff and BattleTech etc. Looks good, but not used it yet :-[ Probably too much in the set for me to use it all at once.

Funny, I bought that set for christmas as well for 10mm sci-fi, and it works pretty well. I wonder how often I can set it up and fold it back together before it wears out completely and I have to glue in some structure.
Got one of their MDF kits as well, but haven't done anything with that yet.

Well look at us LOL, and as for it wearing out, can't see me gaming that much with it, hopefully different for you :D, I ordered the abandoned city version, so that it wasn't too shiny and new.

:D Yeah, we're cardboard buddies. :P
I got the shiny version, to go with my shiny big robots. Even played already. (https://tabletopstories.net/language/en/2024/12/battle-suit-alpha-review-and-test-game/ (https://tabletopstories.net/language/en/2024/12/battle-suit-alpha-review-and-test-game/)). I'm still not sure whether the buildings were a good purchase or not, but I can report that once you're engrossed in a game they do look okay enough. Not as nice as scratch-built of course. I think that if I add more stuff like ...I don't know, tiny cars or something it'll also help.

I bought a huge bag of 100 N-scale cars from AliExpress for this purpose. A matt spray makes them useable already, but pile up a buch in a big 'accident' and start throwing rust and soot effects on them, and you have some nice scatter terrain that can block LOS for infantry and movement for land based vehicles :)
-
Excellent. I've been looking at that sorta cars on Amazon (still unwilling to use any of the Chinese sites. Not that Amazon is better on the whole, but I have some very concrete concerns about those other websites) and should grab some at some point. As you said, they strike me as something very useful.
-
I bought a load of the exact same cars on Ebay a while ago. No need to risk going to those Chinese sites when they're busy posting to Ebay as well! They do make good scatter terrain for Battletech and (so far) I've resisted the urge to glue one under each foot of a mech as roller skates! ;D Well, so far at least!

BB Sigur, or Stormwolf, what are the footprints of the card buildings in those sets? They look like they would fit with my other 6-8mm buildings, but they might be too big to fit on the city block sections I made. https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=141461.msg1803906#msg1803906 (https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=141461.msg1803906#msg1803906)
Any insights would be appreciated!

Pattus,
No problem I get approx. 135mm square for the square tower buildings and 220mm x 140mm for the rectangular block ones. And just by eye from your post the square based ones should be ok, but thats very much an estimation ;)
Hope this helps :D

I found this (https://www.wargamevault.com/product/389994/Scifi-Style-Buildings-The-Old-Colony-Settlement?) to be quite a good foldable set, though it required a bit too much of my brainpower to do in front of the TV. I wanted a truly brainless design, so I put together a simple foldable template and used some textures from that set and from Genet Models (http://www.genetmodels.com/freestuff.php). Removing some of the parapets allows for some different footprints:

Printed them on cardstock and haven't had to do any new ones since. All fold down nicely.

Since the cube buildings use other people's textures, I feel I can only provide the template. The hexagonal buildings in the background use very simple textures derived from Microsoft Powerpoint, so here's that template (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KLtxK2QnJy6PKn6127CLs-3d3on5Mdzk/view).
