Title: Quick n Easy 15mm Fishing boat scratchbuild
Post by: Smokeyrone on 08 February 2025, 07:54:22 PM
For my 15mm Innsmouth in Floeida docks, needed some  boats of various sizes, some featured and others for lookin at.

Since my game is early 20s, but also doing Seminole Wars, I am doing pretty generic small craft, and a few powered vessels.

This is a foamboard hull, poster board gunalls, very thin door panel wood deck, and I'll add details as I go along.

Really simple, under an hour build (with about 5 other boats not as close to completion).

Simple, and I think it works, especially with more little details (fish nets, etc)

What do you think?   Am I on the right track?

As long as you do us all a bit of a tutorial, you are on the right track!   ;)

Looks good.

Definitely on the right track, although I'd need to upscale to 28mm.

As per Fifteens Away, a step by step guide would be good.

I love the faded wood decking.

I love the faded wood decking.

Thanks, it's the very thin outer layer of an old interior door.   That's the backside, rough n textured.  Stuff is great

That looks great, the hull form looks right for a fishing boat and the whole thing has good proportions.
