Title: Does Gripping Beast have a shop?
Post by: ulverston on 14 February 2025, 08:33:57 AM
Hi Chaps,

I am in Nottingham this weekend... visiting the Mecca of many a gamer at Games Workshop, not shopping but visiting the museum. I was wondering does Gripping Beast have a shop open to the public in Nottingham?

Doubt it.
Not in Nottingham, anyway.
Aren't they based in Evesham, down in the Cotswolds? That'd be quite a drive from Nottingham.
I'm sure if you contact them ahead of the time you could make a personal visit to pick up bits, but I would doubt they have a 'shop'. Could be wrong though.
You're GW ways have led you astray - only GW (and its bastard offspring) is in Nottingham. It may well be the centre of the GW hobby, but not miniatures gaming as a whole.

Gripping Beast are manufacturers and retailers of wargames figures and accessories. Founded in 1996, the company is currently based at Beast Towers in Evesham, far from the traditional “lead belt” of miniature companies in and around the Nottingham area.

Their location (Unit 8, Briar Close Business Park, Evesham WR11 4JT, UK) does not look as if it caters to regular punter visits though...

Aye, they're up on Worchestershire.
there's more in nottingham than just GW and its offshoots (warlord, foundry, mantic etc) but beyond those big 3 I don't think anyone has a premises you can visit. most of it will be home offices/industrial units/studio buildings - working environments. I'm sure some very lucky folk might have a kettle but that's about as luxurious as it seems to get.

I always found GB to be very friendly with excellent customer service so why not just phone them up and ask?

Years back I was in York. I was staying very close to where Irregular Miniatures was located.
So I decided to go and have a look. They did not have a regular store but they let me in and
I bought some things from them. Give it a try with Gripping Beast.
